Good morning, Poetwatch
Enjoyed the post. Virtual six. The scenes you created were spot on. I had no trouble putting myself within the story. Both dialogue and character interaction were natural and not forced. Joe's character was one who took life a day at a time, enjoying life's simplest pleasures (looking at the stars, enjoying the companionship of his friends). When Joe was told he be given the answer to any question he would ask, he chose to keep it within the spirit of Christmas -- asking it it would snow.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

PS: Though I live in the country, there is much light pollution from cities (New York, Philadelphia, Allentown), that you can't see the milky way.

Good luck with the Christmas magic contest Jose, this was great to read. It portrayed a good picture of friends together and a nice touch of spirituality. I remember my first Christmas in Texas in 2013, I think the name of the closest town was Flatonia, it was just a couple of days after Christmas when we were hit with a combination of freezing rain and snow and that lasted for eight days. We had foot long icicles on the awning of the camper. It was surprising that I came from Canada to get away from snow and yet found it in Texas. This was so enjoyable and brought back memories. Happy New Year to you and yours.

Snow in Brownsville - Wow! :) :) This is a great entry for the Christmas Magic contest, Jose -- be sure to print out a copy and get some sort of binding at a Staples or something and give each of your friends a copy of it for Christmas with a small bottle of tequila!! :) :) Thanx so much for sharing a piece of a precious memory with all of us -- hope the remainder of the Christmastime is enjoyable to you and yours! ;) Blessings! :)

hahahaha!

I'm like your friends, and have to wonder how much was Christmas magic and how much was tequila wizardry. *smile*

Though it didn't seem like the image answered your question -- perhaps it answered your 'wish'?

Fun stuff! Thanks and good luck!

What a great memory. Thanks for sharing it. My daughter lives in Las Vegas. A few years ago she sent me photos of snow on her yard. Rare in the hot desert, but surely possible.

Have a happy new year. :)

A very well-written story about the Christmas snow in a nornmally warm area is very rare. We do not get snow often either, about every ten years we will be surprised with snow in our winter normally MAY TO AUGUST but it did snow in DECEMBER about twenty five years ago, I don't know the exact day, but it was not on Christmas day.

Nice very nice. Liked the picture you have presented. It is still good to believe on Christmas and Virginia, maybe there is a God. Thank you for sharing.

Your second paragraph is huge. If it was me I'd break it up into three more paragraphs. You might want to think about a language warning for using the word shit. Good luck in the contest.
