This is very nicely composed, DD. I wish you much luck in the contest with this fine entry. Poetry soothes the writer and the reader, both. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hugs, Marilyn

-Nice image and presentation, DD.
-The syllable count is good.
-I like the image in line one,
the one word "poetry" in the middle,
and the concluding line that
pulls the whole poem together.
-There is a calm feel to that, too.
-Have a Merry Christmas!

Hello DD,
An excellent lune poem and entry for the contest
It's always good to write about writing
using excellent poetics like the nice alliteration
of the "w" and "p" words
Writing does have a healing, uplifting effect.
Well done
Best wishes to you in this holiday season
Robert

Your lune makes excellent use of each syllable to express how
very powerful poetry is--how powerful words are. We can use them
to rear down or uplift others.

This is so true. Poetry written from the heart can be so cathartic and healing. The power of the pen is limitless. We just need to allow our heart and mind to go with the flow of the muse within us. Thanks for sharing these insightful words.

Good luck with your contest entry DD. I liked your Lune poetry entry. I do believe the wet pen holds the words not yet written. Thanks for sharing and wishing you a very Happy Christmas XXK.

Superbly done, DD! I think you'll do great in the contest. I like how you started with the alliterative "words wet with" and yes, poetry is really a "balm" for the soul.

Comment from Irish Rain
Such a lovely entry Miss DD.
When I've written something I truly like...I come back to it, and it does sooth.
Of course...if I can't find the words I want...it makes me nutso, ha ha.
Loved this,
blessings...

DD,
This a delicious little verse for the Lune contest. The drawing is indicative how people penned their poetry (and letters) a while ago. Unfortunately, some schools no longer actively teach cursive writing.
'words and 'wet' are nice alliteratives
I do like the 'wet ink' 'pen' - old school writing!
'healing balm' is a nice phrase
Probably said before: I like flowery text, but some readers may have difficulty in reading/seeing your particular font choice. I recognize it goes with your verse in a nice way, but ...
Consider asking older family or friends about this font style and their readability of the same.
