A very well-written Tanka and a great painting to illustrate and complement the words of your poem and vice versa. I love this great image and great colors too.

Gorgeous sunset picture, Pam. I love the personification of the sky relieved to get the cool, "soothing night."
Had no power most of the day and am trying to review on my phone.

Nice presentation of these palm Trees blowing in the breeze as the sun sets for the evening. Red skies are a sailors warning for the change in the weather.

This is a very nice and beautiful painting. I love the colors you used. Your tanka is nice, as well. My favorite lines are the last two. Your use of "blushing" and "soothing" to describe the sky and the night is pleasant and evocative. It leaves me with a good feeling. Thanks for sharing.
Take care, Jesse

Very nicely composed and illustrated, Pam. I like the colors. Water is painted and reflects the sun. Well done. The first thing I did was count the palms. Yep! Seven. Marilyn

What a lovely tropical vibe your oil painting creates. I am reminded of the TV show Miami Vice. :) This looks like a romantic cruise vacation I wish I was taking for Christmas. Love your "blushing sunset" "towering" palms. Great word choices--magical painting!!!

I really like the colors you use in your artwork, Pam. It looks vibrant and alive with all of the layers you have use. Good verse to amplify and enhance it ... also pulls it all together. Well done.
