There is so much in your real-life story that I can relate to. I love this passage: 'I'm a spiritual being having a human experience. I'm frequently challenged by my fellow humans and my reaction to them.' You have said so eloquently what I feel.
I think every single paragraph and every single sentence was well thought out. You did a great job on this 150 word story! It is an excellent contest entry! I sincerely wish you the very best!
P.S. I can really relate to your spiritual search ... I've lived a lifetime of it.
Love & hugs,
C. Gale

This one-hundred-fifty-word biography, Live and Learn, frames your life in church relationships. Looking for impeccable values in others is a lesson in futility. We honor God because he's what we're not. People will always fail you, so don't hold them accountable for wh@t th3y can never be.

Very good work. Man created religion. God created man. "Judge not lest ye be judged" is something many "religious" folk ignore. If God forgives sin according to the way we forgive others, I'm afraid many of us are in for rude awakenings. I counted 143 words. Good luck in the contest.

Finding the right church can be hard but when you find the right one it's so worth it. I think many can and will be able to relate to this. You did a great job and I wish you all the best in the contest

Hello Author, I liked your story of self reflection very much. I think it speaks to many of us whether or not we have changed churches. Sometimes a person may lose faith in their church and not have the courage to seek another, or even to leave it in the first place when they become disallusioned with thier first. A person's call to God is evolutionary and I'm not sure that some people recognize that. It is ever-changing. As people change, so do their views, their needs, their concerns. God meets all of these things of course but how you address God differs as you get older and there comes a time when you realize that you don't have to pay to pray. God is everywhere. -- Oh, yes, I liked the photo that you chose too... partially opened flowers... nice choice

I love the humility and honesty of this - there's so much to relate to , starting with the fact that we're all "works in progress". As one who was raised Catholic myself, given how simplistically our faith is taught to us as children (at least it was when I was young), I think it's healthy and perhaps necessary to take a new look once we mature. Socrates would be proud of this ("The unexamined life is not worth living") Good luck in the contest.

There is much hypocrisy in religion and some do not the true meaning of the commandments and let their own human failings interfere with what's right, I have seen it happen, but we all need to make our own judgements and you are making yours and as long as we have compassion, we all know what's right in life, I enjoyed your words, love Dolly x
