Hi Jen. Sorry I have been ill and unable to review. But eventually I try to get to all of your posts. This will change next year. I will not be on fanstory much next year. Is this contest still going on? Nice job. And yes I have done it. Lol. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

The author's word made me smile, are clear and thought provoking.
The reader pondered on the theme of this poem. I thought about
how my memory is not what it used to be! The artwork is perfect
and compliments this poem.

MERRY CHRISTMAS JENINTORRE: This work is interesting in that it is true to life in a selfless way. You are open to reality here. And you let that be known. Welcome to the club. I'm feeling you here. I've tried to make phone calls with the TV remote. I have searched for my glasses with them on my face. I've searched for my keys while holding them in my hand.

Lol! What a cute, funny 5 line poem. It's so true... there are remotes for everything! Our bedroom air conditioner has a remote! In fact, I have an entire basket of old remotes, most I bet are for TVs and things we don't even own any more! ugh. I think, too, that your piece comments on the confusion older folks may experience when it comes to technology. Nice job!

This work has reached the exceptional level

Confusion reigns supreme with ageing or alzheimer's. Our little grey cells do die off as we age, some folks suffer more and earlier. Scientists are close to a breakthrough in treating memory-loss. Thanks for addressing this, it is important to all of us. Happy Christmas.
