Love your Hail Mary's Red, you had me chuckling right from the start. Great interpretation of Santa's toy shop elves and their revenge.
still smiling,
cheers,

Thanks very much for reading and reviewing my suspicions about elves. Maybe we should fear the day some elfin Moses tells Santa to "Let my People go!" I bought the first two versions of Nintendo and loved them...

Good one! Makes sense too. Somebody has to make all those techie toys. It's not like you could just buy one in a store. Only elves know how to make them, which is why they cost more. But that will soon change with Trump's new USETA (US and Elf Trade Agreement).

No rainbow to slide down...how about an elfin Trail Of Tears to the polar ice pack? I haven't had video games since the Nintendo version with the big ape,,,Donkey Kong and Diddy...hey, I loved 'em. Thanks for the idea and for reading and reviewing.

Well, that is one way to get even with those pesky elves always getting into trouble making them work for their time served for Santa.

I was thinking about writing Polar Exodus about Moses the elf who slaughtered Claus and led his people to freedom. Nah, that plot has been used before. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

Hahaha! So that's how those things came about??? Good rhyme and meter with alliteration and internal rhyme throughout. A pleasure to read. I think you've done your penance very well. 8-)

I think my penance may have been more grievous than the first sin, but it's all dark humor...Santa the whip-cracking overseer of a slave labor camp on the polar ice pack...nah, I doubt it...thanks for reading and reviewing.

You are having a delightful time here, both describing those "mean wee things" called elves and lampooning X boxes, the menace of this generation. Flawless rhythm and well-chosen rhymes. All ages will enjoy this poem. Rod

Elves and fairies and leprechauns all have a dark side in legend...smartphones and videogames and boom boxes are all melting together into AI, which Hawking and others thought most sinister...thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

A very well-written penance poem about the hard work the elves have to do to get everyone's presents right on time they have to work long hours until they find x-box will keep everyone happy for a long time.

So the Little People toil in bondage sore in Santa's slave labor camp on the polar ice pack. Isn't that much more cheerful than a child dying of neglect in a crack house? Enough! I am working on something jolly for my next post...thanks very much for reading this poem...

I loved this little write! So clever and you hit the spot! Your presentation has no frills, but your words speak for themselves, cleverly rhymed with great sentiments! My first six of the week, Love Dolly x

Thanks very much for reading and reviewing my unwarranted attack on the X-boxes...I enjoy video games...and the exceptional rating is a boon to my vanity! Thanks again!

Haha, what a fun poem, Red. I enjoyed reading it. The rhymes are good, the flow is great, and the storyline is clever. Your words are descriptive, too. I could envision the scene as I read this. Thanks for sharing. Jan

I am working on something jolly for my next post. Maybe an elfin Moses crossing the arctic circle, leading his caravan into Canada? Thanks for reading my comic poems...

Red,
Clever... cleeevvver.
No surprise there, though. At some point, it would probably be quite intriguing to tiptoe through your entire portfolio and see what wonders can be found within. Ha!!
But that's another day...
Enjoyed!

Thanks very much for reading my poem, penned in jest, I assure you...
