Dear Vance, I liked your use of verbs and how winds can be strong or still, and I liked your use of a garden of goodwill. It was a good consideration of how life is, and how we can gamble (roll the dice) to see if we will win or lose. Dovemarie

Hello Hisgrayness, This just popped up on my screen for reviewing and now I see that it was actually posted back in December. I'm glad I didn't miss the chance to review it. It is beautifully written and like you, have I been too soon? Or too late?
At times it does indeed feel that way.
I'm not sure why it was formatted and posted in this fashion because I think if it were centered and formatted in poetry form. . .how much nicer the flow and ability to come away with the full strength of the words. Just my thoughts. Nice that it was recognized. :)

Well, YOUR GRAYNESS, you have compacted a thought provoking poem in a rather small space. "Meaning and intention", are both important words when it comes to someone's actions. "No good deed ever goes unpunished." I believe whatever positive actions I direct towards others, I am the main recipient. I do things for others for my own sake. I have not idea how they will be received. But I know my "Meaning and intention". Best wishes.

Well, YOUR GRAYNESS, you have compacted a thought provoking poem in a rather small space. "Meaning and intention", are both important words when it comes to someone's actions. "No good deed ever goes unpunished." I believe whatever positive actions I direct towards others, I am the main recipient. I do things for others for my own sake. I have not idea how they will be received. But I know my "Meaning and intention". Best wishes.

Your write is a bit hard to read in the manner you have presented it. Old eyes need more color contrast. The content however is very lovely and I like the tenor of the poem. I would like to read more of your work and shall see if I can find some.

Thank you for sharing this. I like the rhyming and other literary devices within the stream of consciousness narrative. It would be useful to keep writing these thoughts down so you can go back to them and reflect on them later, make comparisons, etc. The contrast between the black text and the red background makes this a little hard to read.
