Hi there,
Thank you for sharing a story of triumph. Poor Bill Gates took a lot of abuse in school. He was scrawny and wore cross-border glasses.
He showed them, didn't he?

My point exactly.

There is often no logical reason for bullying. We are all born differently.
Perhaps teachers should warn students about bullying. The teacher may come under attack though.
How can we stop it?

In my view, a person who bullies is just expressing his anger and frustration at believing that the only way he can feel good about himself is to strike fear in others. Oppose him with boldness and confidence and you will expose him as a coward.

Yes I know.

This is great! The rhyming really keeps the pace flowing and without sounding sing-songy. It has a great message too. Nicely done.

His attitude is so much better than those who whine about being bullied. If someone is bullying you on facebook, simply don't use the site. Do something about it.

Thank you. I believe that the action should be limited to what you can realistically do. If you cannot fight, do not try to engage in fisticuffs. Use your brain as much as possible and you will defeat a bully every time.

Excellent Poem! The author's words are heartfelt, creative and
thought provoking. The reader thought about children in a
junior high school who were bullied where she worked. The artwork
is perfect and this poem gives a great message to kids who are bullied.
Thank you for an outstanding poem.

Excellent
Salute to the critics "bullies," for they create a focus on the generic "victim."
All who observe see themselves being victimized, and they pray silently for the current candidate of scorn.
The bully has inspired the victim, and all in the crowd, to flip the attempted degradation of the victim to an inspirational path to success.
The bully, who is self centered, and at a low level of personal self esteem,
creates a winner by trying to paint the victim as a loser.
Now, the victim will be enlightened to the words of the sage: "It is not what you are that holds you back, it is what you think you are not."

One of my pet hates are bullies. It not only happens to children and I was once the target of a group of colleagues who bullied me to the point where I had to give up work. It's lovely to see a positive slant on the issue. PM

I am so sorry that you had to endure this blight on the human soul. I was not allowed to be a victim as I had as a role model the one person I truly feared, my mother. Small of stature, but in possession of the heart of a lion.

Sadly mother?s can make or break her sons! Girls seem to be more resilient with mother?s and are affected more by their fathers opinions in my experience. Bless. PM

Bravo! Well done. Childhood can be so different socially from adulthood. Once a person starts a career, bullying usually stops, though not always. This gives the person a chance to do his/her best, to shine. Talents appear like magic, and with new confidence, the world sees a different person.

I agree, and with this thought in mind, we have been robbed of potentially great minds and achievements because so many of our young people have tragically ended their lives before they ever had the chance to shine.

Hello nomi338 good poem to write about being bullied I like the internal rhyme along with the ending rhymes of how you ended your poem saying
How in the world can they ever be
A stand up guy like me. Gert

Thank you Gert. We are all potentially great, but some will never know or achieve that greatness because we allow our lights to be snuffed out by the jealous and the greedy ones who try to deny us our place in the sunshine.

You are welcome and I do understand what it's like to have one jealous of one. I have there. Maybe I will write a poem about jealously. Gert
