We certainly don't want to change history do we Sandra.
I can't imagine why she was shown this alternative history scene, but I'm sure there is a reason for it all. I know you have a plan. Good job. Nancy xxx :)

Not at all!! I like it almost just the way it is. There are a few little nits that I wouldn't mind being able to change, though. lol. Thank you, my dear friend, for your lovely review. Big hugs, dear. Sandra xxxx

What a great chapter. I can imagine that finding out you might never be born is rather disconcerting! So where is Mildred? It won't seem the same without her and Veronica's banter, so you better find her soon!

It's so darned Powers, Alexis, they never let me know what they have planned! Grrr. Thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, my wonderful friend. And the wonderful review. Your reviews are always so nice to receive. :)) Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

I love the idea of time travel, and utilize it frequently in my own novels. :-)

James gave me look that immediately made me wish I hadn't sounded so cross. The children couldn't imagine the kind of pressure we were under, but it wasn't fair for me to take my frustration out on them. "Oh, Sweetheart, I'm so sorry ... (mummy's) a bit tired this morning."

I believe this should be:

because it is being used as a name.

My only question to you is how is James still here if history has already changed and he wasn't ever born?

All the best,

Thank you for picking up that error, I missed that one. James is in our reality,. not the parallel one. Unless Veronica can change the bump in the time-line, she has been shown by the Powers what will happen. Thank you, Jan, for reading this part, and picking out parts that perhaps I can clarify better. :)) Sandra xxx

Ah, now that makes sense. Thank you for the clarification. I mentioned it because I have to be so careful in my own novel, when time leaps are occurring to make sure I don't mess it up! LOL

Thank you! Because of what you said, I've added a little piece...

I turned around and slumped against his chest. ?Oh, James ?. it was awful. For some reason, the powers let me see what would happen if history changed, and everything was so different. Mildred has to work in a factory...
