Hi Sandra, Well a turn of events and such a clever plot I wonder what would happen if this was a true account
, You ask for errors to ne ponted out but I get so entranced in your story of there were any ( which I doubt) I probably would overlook them .
Although I did wonder about using an instead of and however as you used this several times it is in the dialogue of how the child speaks ( if this is correct you may need the ' above an(') she was trying line.

Other than that Loved it and look forward to next chapter Cheers Christine

Thank you so much, Christine, for another lovely review, and all those lovely stars!

I'm glad you spotted the missing (') there were 2 in that line! Both sorted. :)) I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part, it is a hard assignment this time for Veronica to sort out. But, I'm hoping James will be able to give her a hand. He's a lovely hubby!! Big hugs, my friend!! :)) Sandra xxx

It's marvellous that there is some sort of opening to the past in Ann's room, and that it was an entirely different outcome to World War One, as in their reality. so, where to from here? With Mildred not there, when will she return, and what about Veronica's absence from there? Well done Sandra, blessings, Roy

Ann's room was originally the attic where Mildred and Veronica used to keep in touch in Mrs Humphries' time. And then in the second book, it was Joe and Daveth. Now, Ann is in touch with Mildred in the same room.It does have a portal there. Where too from here? I think James might be of great help to Veronica now. We shall see. Thank you so much my dear friend for this lovely review. Big hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

You are doing a good job of keeping the tension high and ongoing. The back and forth in time is obviously taking its toll on Veronica, and emotionally she is looking frayed. Good job on plot and dialogue. Well done.

What a wonderful chapter. How on earth do you come up with these ideas about time travel and keep it all straight? It will be very interesting to see how Veronica works all this out and things return to normal in the present time.

AHHH, YAYA, I have a six to give you! WOO HOO~ :-D

I really liked this chapter. I love time travel stories and play around them a little myself but this is intricate and detailed. Not easy to do.

My only thought is, if history changed then how can they still be a family when she returns to the present? Wouldn't that be affected?

Deliciously complicated and I can't wait to read on to figure out where you are going with this. LOVE IT!!! :-)

Ahh, there are a few little words that give that away. The powers were showing her what the outcome could be if she doesn't sort it out first. She will be sent back in time again soon. Thank you so very much, Rebecca, for those beautiful, shiny stars!!! You put a huge smile on my face reading that, LOL!! You are the second person to ask me about history being changed in her own time. There is a little sentence in there that says the Powers had let her see what COULD be the outcome if she doesn't change what will happen in WW1 Complicated??? Nah, LOL!!! Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Wow, I can just see Veronica going into battle, mowing down those German soldiers. She'll take out 104 of them as she storms into Munich, wearing only a nightie. She'll spray bullets around the palace, tearing out the windows and striking the government officials, who surrendered to her wearing only long johns.

Fun chapter... yours was good too. :)

LOL! I think I can use all that! Love the long johns! I wear them in the winter! LOL!!!
Thank you so much for the pretty golden stars, my friend, and for writing the next part for me! I told you that you still had more stories in you! LOL Biggest hugs. Sandra xxxx

Did I mention that the Fuhrer will take her as his wife and buy her a dozen sexy nighties? She will escape with the free nighties by shooting him as he sleeps. When she walks down the street clad only in satin and lace, James will see her and leave his wife, a chubby, pig-nosed German woman who always smells of sauerkraut.

On second thought, that's all too obvious. Maybe you can come up with a more believable plot.

Had a panic this morning. My computer stopped working. Did all sorts of crazy things. Mark fixed it. Said it had a virus. It's fine now ... I hope. :)

A rather interesting chapter Sandra. You did well with the idea that Ann had spoken to Mildred who had reported she was stuck somewhere. It was a nice touch that James mentioned his grandfather and the fact that if he had been killed then James would not have been there. The pending research sounds amazing. This was a great twist and turn to take, well done. Hugs and smiles, thanks for sharing.

Hi Sandra, Again you've written the most enticing chapter to your wonderful story. Maybe James will be of help to whatever is going on. I still have to wait and see as I'm still nowhere nearer to see how this is to be resolved. I've liked you've included the battle at The Sea of Jutland, Denmark. Hugs. Ulla xxx

I can't wait until they can figure out how and what they can do to fix the change that's accrued in history. I'm sure it has something to do with Gladys and the Admiral.

I sat down beside him and took his hand. (you don't need 'down')

Thank you so much, Barbara for another lovely review. I've taken out the 'down' I keep doing that! Anyway, we will soon find out what is going on, now that James is in the investigating mood, which he really needs to do being his life might hang in the balance... Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I've just returned from a new version of 1996, and not only were you not in it, but the children didn't exist either. ~ Ah, now I understand why the last chapter confused me with this date - 1996.

Something I love about James is how considerate he is with his family, especially Veronica. I think James is many women's dream husband.

This was an amazing chapter, Sandra!

I know what you mean about James, I don't think such a man exists, lol! Thank you so much for the 6 stars, Aki, and I'm really pleased, and relieved that you now understand what's happening with the 1996. It's quite difficult to explain it in words, but it has to be done. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx
