The photo and your 1-9-1 make the perfect pair, describing that
sweet, jubilant moment when the kids want Mom and Dad to get up
and see what SANTA brought them! :-)

This is so timely and precious.
I love how 'Wake Up!' is divided by the 9 syllable verse.
Your red font and green background were perfect choices, in my opinion.
Very creative and a fun read.
I wish you the very best in the contest!

This poem reminds me of when I was child. Hopefully, this poem draws the reader in to reflect on their Christmas mornings. When I was little and brother couldn't read, he would come to wake up my parents. They'd probably just gotten to bed. He said "Santa's been a good boy". When we went downstairs there was a total mess. I could read my name on my name tags, but they weren't on presents. They were on the wrapping paper which was all over the floor. This must have happened for several years. Then my mother had to remember whose was whose. To complicate things, we had similar gifts. I was a tom-boy. This was fun to reflect upon. I'm voting for this.

A very well-written 1-9-1 poem about the Christmas morning wake up. It seems noone can sleep late because Santa is coming and we all must be ready when he arrives.

What a perfect contest entry, and something to get us all in the mood for Christmas.

The picture is adorable, and you've captured a child's excitement on Christmas morn' perfectly here. Terrific! This deserves to fare very well in the contest. Best wishes.

I so remember those days with my two sons. That was years ago, but I often wish for those years back. Eleven syllables and a good illustration for 1-9-1 poem. You're good to go. Good luck.

That certainly works for me as something any child would say on Christmas morning, and it certainly fits the one-nine-one syllable count requirement. The picture certainly fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

Has Christmas changed at all through the ages for children? There will always be the excitement and the impatience, and parents love it!
