This is a wonderful entry for the air contest. I love the angle you took as his last breath of air. It is sad to say, but, yes, one would have relief for the reason of not wanting them to suffer any longer as much as it saddens them to lose a loved one.

Yes relief followed by sense of guilt ..that part is horrible.
With time it seems less but then all of a sudden it hits you again hard .

Oh, yes, although never put in the circumstances, I would imagine a great deal of guilt would go along with feeling relief.

You are right about the relief survivors often feel after a long-suffering loved one takes his final breath. I've often prayed that loved ones of terminally ill patients who suffer immeasurably get relief soon..

This relief creates a sense of guilt too unfortunately .. A guilt that eats you up ..it's horrible.
That's very kind and thoughtful that you pray for those left behind ...seeing loved ones suffer ..is a terrible experience..

Sadly this relief ️come with a sense of guilt too...it's terrible .
