Good luck Yvette in the contest. This was incredibly well done. You addressed all the figures of one's imagination and brought it to life in its own special way. I liked how you used the different colors for each figure. Very much enjoyed, very well done, thanks for sharing.

This well-written, highly imaginative piece, I feel, has several
"levels": It is a bit whimsical and hyperbolic (meant FAVORABLY)
while conveying the theme that we are limited in our powers.

What a super poem. You've gone the extra mile with this nicely composed creative piece, including the image and presentation. I especially like your ending lines. Yes, we can write about all the things our imagination (muse) holds. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Great rhymes. I love the rhyming. You have done it well. Only...I wonder why you use mythical creatures to convey the meaning (dragon, leprechaun). Good luck with your writings

Why not? :) ;) It is a write about 'over the rainbow' and the imagination.....? :) ;) Thanx for stopping in for the read and review -- have a fantastical week of your own with as many dragons, leprechauns, or other mythical creatures your imagination can dream up! :) ;) Yvette :)

Unique in its creativity, insightfulness, fantasy visions, ... and imagination. The words take the reader to unseen worlds... Beautiful rhyme and rhythm, this poem may mesmerize, even give "wings" to a child or the child in us. The colours and art work are spectacular.

I love this poem Yvette, it poses questions without answers, and being a person who enjoys pondering the "whys" "wherefores" "whosywhats" I particularly like, it's clever, it's thought provoking, and it's very cleverly rhymed and created. Well done, blessings, Roy

A very well-written poem about the things that you can't do, it is not always possible to do what we like to do, and there are some things we prefer not to try and do because we might be seen as rude.

I like this one, Yvette. I even like the coloring which is usually a turn off for me when people try to fancy up their work in some artful way.

Good poetry stands on its own, doesn't it?

This stanza is my fave:

I can't explain deepest fears
when a smile appears
with or without tears..."

Bless you, big talent showing here.... :) Bob:

Thank you so very much for your wonderful review, Bob -- I guess I just enjoyed enhancing the 'over the rainbow fantasy' feel I was going for...hope it wasn't too distracting. ;) ;) Thanx and have a wonderful week! :) ;)

You are letting you love of fantasy shine through in this one. It's one of your most creative pieces. You use colors of the rainbow and spacing to create a rainbow. I hope that everyone notices that special touch. I'd do something with the word rainbow in the description to call attention to your polish and finesse. That rainbow's got to be worth bonus points if they only notice.

Your rhymes are exceptional. lt's hard to do three in a row for that many stanzas without it sounding forced. Yours flows naturally from mermaid to leprechaun to fairies . . .

This piece shows so much work and skill. Good luck in the competition.
