You managed to use this word cleverly here in the final couplet and I thought your words descriptive and indicative of a storm raging, then into a calm when it all passes, a delightful read, lvoe Dolly x

A lown...who knew....what will get for Christ,as this year? I say we...because you share your Christmas presents with us. I love the energy of storms. You captured this and of course the clam after one.
God bless

The clam after one....lol I meant calm obviously. I?ve been grouting and I have sore finger tips...hmmmm is there a word for that?

Hey, I guess if I didn't live about 150 miles from the nearest beach, it could well be possible to go out and find a clam after the storm ;-)

As for the grouting, there are three words for that: "Hire a handyman!" Just kidding, I'm either vain or cheap enough to tackle almost any job around the place, as well :)

Craig, what a delightful verse. You used your own situation to use this new word and it is a perfect scenario. Well done and again, I really enjoy this fun exercise.

All the best,,

Melissa

This gives the strong image of a strong quick-moving storm and how it effects
animals. My dog was scared of storms too. This seems a free verse sonnet if there was such a thing.

Happy Holidays.

Joan

I'm not sure if there is or not, Joan. I guess there is now :) Cheers, Craig

You're welcome. I think all my sonnets are free verse sonnets because I just can't get iambic pentameter.
