Sally, this deserves a dozen sixes! Good for you, telling all this. The media slants things to make President Trump look cruel. We all voted for him because he said he'd keep the illegals out. They come here, dragging their country with them, and don't want to be American. If their old place was so great, let them stay there. You're right - we're going to lose everything we believe in, and the country will be become just like what they escaped. Do you notice how they never say President Trump, usually just Donald Trump. Outrageous! Especially after the eight years we had before him.

He is protecting all of us from this violent mob and he is being called cruel and inhumane. Totally ridiculous! We must hold to what is in the best interest of our nation and it?s citizenry.

Thank you so much for your review and support. I appreciate your input here and value your opinion very much. Although my homeland is not perfect, my ancestors spilled their blood so that I could be free and dwell here securely. I will not give it up to violent intruders who have more than questionable motives. I pray our border is secured, with or without a wall we must hold it secure.

I agree with you about the horrors that open borders would bring. When I see the pictures of the approaching caravan, I see predominantly young men who do not appear to be oppressed in any way. They are surely physically strong if they made the long trip. They don't look to me like a bunch fleeing persecution (as the Jews would have been when Nazis occupied their countries). We can't have unaccounted-for people in the country. My suggestion is to send all the migrants to California and let the wealthy movie moguls, Nancy Pelosi, and Bill Gats and other Silicon Valley billionaires take care of them. The government can't afford to do so. You do a great job of bringing in specific information and questions to make readers think (such as about do you lock your home at night?).
You might want to put the sources you cited at the bottom of your article, so as not to interrupt the flow. Also, I thought the sentence "Let's look together" was a bit off-putting, and you might consider omitting. Also, a few commas added where you don't need them! Best of luck to you in the contest, and best of luck to the USA for dealing with this illegal immigrant crisis. judi

Thank you so much for the excellent review and support. I feel like the media is demonizing anyone who does not want open borders. Many see what is truly going on in spite of the propaganda. Hopefully. we will hold our borders and sovereignty with or without a wall. I have already removed, ?Let?s look together.? I will go through and groom those commas, too. I appreciate those little critiques!

There are people that have been in this country for over 20 years and don't speak English. It's sad that they are not willing to learn how to communicate with others from the US that speak English.
My husband was born in Germany. He was adopted to a military family. They moved back to the US when James was 2 1/2. When he was 13 he had to go through the process to become a naturalize citizen.
Ok, guess I am finished...lol This is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. People need to come to this country legally or don't come here at all. How do we know that the ones that come across are good people?

I know the UK has had some of the same issues as you have described in recent days. Sovereign nations are always being attacked and have to fight back to maintain their sovereignty. We need an electorate that answers to the legal citizens of the U.S. We can still welcome those that come here legally with the intention of melding into citizens of this country and becoming citizens, not just looking to establish a foreign community among us.
