I think Drew should tell Emily that her mother is dead. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is very good imagery.

One would think so, but logical would say he needs to tell her in person. Thank you for the kind review.

Hi Barbara, So now Shana has got herself a kitten. It's obvious she's delighted about it and her tlephone conversation with Emily was endearing. I really think it's time Shana gets over the religious obstacles and get her act together before it's too late. All the best. Ulla:)))

Introducing the kitten was a great idea. I wondered what the surprise was going to be. I bet the dogs will love it. Sweet phone call with Emily. Shana can't help but feel Emily's love for her. Maybe that will push Shana to put aside her religious differences. Shana has made a hit with all of Drew's family. Excellent dialogue, and great characterization of Shana. She's so good with Emily. Certainly rates 6 stars. judi

You're welcome. I take it Emily doesn't know about her mother's death. She will really want to cling to Shana when she finds out. judi

Emily doesn't know about her mom's death and Drew made the decision to wait until he's with her to tell her.

I like how Shana's connecting more and more with Emily. The kitten was part of that, as well as the swim suit. judi

Hello Barb
I'm so glad that Shana was given such a cute Tabby kitten to me it somehow will bring a closer loving relationship between Anderson
and Emily. I hope so.

Barbara,

Another nice chapter to add to your novel. I am always so impressed with the way you are able to struggle along (making it seem like no struggle at all!) with continuous chapters. Go, you!

Sorry, I evidently didn't see the issue you were referring to - though I did spot one tiny nit:
1.) "I think we've narrowed the name to either Simba or (Aslan). Any thought(s)?" Shana faced Anderson.

2.) "Maybe (Aslan) would be a better name. He's going to grow up to be a great lion.

Thanks!

It seems that Emily is having an affect on Shana's emotions, and the poor child is separated from her dead mother, and her father, and with an attachment to Shana, it is further complications things. A good connecting episode Barbara, an emotional one, it's near to my heart this one, well done, Barbara, blessings, Roy
Typo : A couple (of) of men and I. 2: He said, it'll probably (need nursing) for a least another week.

Yes, Shana, you can't ignore what you feel. You're trying, but it won't work. You need to stop hiding behind religious differences and admit you love Drew and want to be with him. No need to feel guilty. Your father loves you and will understand. If not, he'll come around once he realizes it's your happiness at stake. :)
