It seems that there are no answers in this chapters. Or the answers just bring more questions. It would be sad if her time travel really changed history so much that it wiped out her family.

Oh, no...something's not right in this alternate universe, Sandra :) Well, well...the plot is seriously thickening. Factory workers, no James, and they didn't win the war(S), hmmm...I'm thinking the powers that be are playing a sick joke on poor Veronica...and all whist she's donned a tiny nightie :) Excellent writing with strong dialogue and meticulous imagery. Im truly enjoying this book. Until next installment, dear :)

-You show the frustration of Ver. when she snaps
at Mildred, something she would normally never do.
-She also shows her love for her, and tries to
reassure her that she does have a pension.
-But Mildred sees a different time; no pension,

no knowledge of winning any wars.
-I think the Powers are needed to get
this all straightened out.
-What they have done, and how

What a brilliant review, Pam, you really have got it right. Veronica has her work cut out for her trying to sort this little lot out. There is a lot more to discover, and with Mildred there with her, she will feel a lot happier. I've posted half of the next chapter, and will finish that on Sunday. Lots to do..
