Pam as I view this oil painting I'm reminded of the story Bambi. And I clearly remember the spots on his back and the adventure that came along with the spots. The tan colored dears accented by the light colored grass brightens up the picture so well, makes for a beautiful presentation.

Thank you Mary for your wonderful review. The male does not have spots on Earth. Heehee.

This tanka, Two Deer Buck and Fawn, looks good and captures this idyllic scene where happy, safe creatures enjoy the finest pleasures. Nice.

A very well-written Tanka about the deer feeding on the garden flowers. They find it sweet treats from their usual diet of green grass they have to eat every day.

Comment from Gloria ....
I have always wondered what heaven would look like, and you have shown us now and I would guess for deer these flowers would be mighty tasty and if they're in heaven they would stop chomping off my tulip flowers each year.
Really neat, Pam.

Lol Gloria. So you have delicious delicacies too. You made me laugh out loud. But dear ate our entire lawn one time. Thank you for your lovely review

If I were a deer and ate flowers, I bet pink ones would be right up there, I wonder if they're like deer cotton candy. Heaven indeed!! :-) I have to say, you have a way with the daisy type of flowers, picturing an entire field of them and just a couple of deer does indeed sound like Heaven for the deer. A sweet poem to reflect your painting. Susan

This is very positive and uplifting. I like the line, "tasty pink flowers." I like the idea of heaven for deer. They need such a place to satisfy their taste for "delicious delicacies." I like the expressions on the two deer. They look satisfied. Thank you for sharing your two talents with us.
Take care, Jesse

That's a very creative idea. Deers are pretty. I've seen a few in my life probably all in upstate NY. Good visual imagery. Well thought out and clearly written. Good work :)
