I consider this a miracle. You lost everything but Tom and you are both alive. it could have been a fatal accident that would have cost your life and perhaps others but you survived alive to tell the story. God must be watching you the. Thanks for sharing.

This was a very touching read . It is emotional and deep . You give the reader your anguish and fears , your loss but also your gain. That day will be forever in your mind but your writing shows that you have stayed strong and done well since that traumatic day.

    Dear Ms. Hornby,

Thank you very much for the feedback and positive review. I appreciate that it touched you and the depth was felt. I am trying to write things I know exactly as they happened, as I would eventually like to have some things published that I have written. I hope that you read more of my work. I definitely will be reading yours. Fonda

This is an inspiring story about a narrow escape. I know what you're talking about when you mention your friend's memory problems. For the last years of his life, my brother had to be reminded of things often.

    Hi Mr. Bowling,

It took me a minute to compose myself. I am shaking as I try to reply to you. I am floored that you gave me such positive feedback and review. I would love to have any nits or tips since you are such an admired writer. You inspire me. I am sorry that you have lost a loved one. I am also saddened by the thought that you have lost your brother. I know how hard that can be. I will be reading a lot more of your stories. I hope you will be able to read more of mine when you have time. Thank you again for the review. All my admiration, Fonda

Wow, very well done! What a harrowing experience for both you and Tom.! I think sometimes the mind blocks out things that it doesn't want to remember because it's too difficult to discern. The protective nature of our brains! I'm glad you're okay and have recovered. Are you able to drive through the mountains of Georgia? I hope so. All my best for you and yours, Sally

    Hi Sally,

Yes, as a matter of fact I prefer road trips to all else! I drove from Marietta to Dalton, saw the beautiful mountains first hand and then drove back south through Calhoun on 75 on Tuesday. Then today I was all over from Canton to Holly Springs to downtown Atlanta over past the Stone Mountain area. I was very busy! I love driving still. I just hate Atlanta traffic when I am stopped! THANK YOU AGAIN for the positive feedback and review. I'm glad you liked the story. Yes I am just finding out about the protective nature of MY brain. It seems it protected me from a lot of bad things when I was young. Most of those things have surfaced within the last say 5-10 years or so. Matter of fact my brain has been scanned more in the last year (2018) than it had my entire life. I am still trying to get to the bottom of why it is - my memory is quickly evaporating! It was the sole reason I decided to jump into FS at the time and place that I did. All my best back to you and Happy Thanksgiving - I hope it is safe and fun! Fonda

You all were riding with angels for sure on your shoulders that day. Things lost are not as important as as keeping your selves alive. I say this was a true miracle!

    Yes Country,

Yes I agree with you 100%. Miracles have happened to me a few times over. This adventure was one that for sure had angels by my side. I have had angels by my side on several occasions. And still to this day, I feel there are angels helping me survive. Unfortunately my friend Tom wouldn't allow me to put my spirituality and my beliefs into the story. He preferred that I kept that part of it separate. You would have to know Tom to understand why. HE is a good person, just has some demons that he keeps entertaining every so often. Thank you again for your time, positive feedback and review. Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving - Fonda

Wow, Fonda. What an amazing story and the sheer fact that you lived to tell about it is awesome. Good set up with your narrative with a few splashes of dialogue thrown in too. Great read.
