Eugene, you are one of my favorite faith-based poets here on FanStory! Thank you for this! It is so inspiring and encouraging. I have been through some long fiery trials and it is only understandable in the light of God's presence.
All my best to you in the Free Verse Contest!

brings remembrance of (times long) past
playful songs(,) beautiful melodies
This poem is so fluid in its presentation and holds many profound pearls of timely wisdom. I think many can relate to the hope that exudes from this piece. The manageable ability we have to appreciate our bounty and look for the good around us shines through this penning. Remembering that He descended below it all and rose so that we may live again is not a new concept, but many struggle with feeling worthy of this ultimate sacrifice.
Your piece is presented with such delicacy and perfected verbiage. I enjoyed it thoroughly. My favorite stanza:
Beyond Suffering ...
divine perfection becomes one
in triumphant shouts of worshipful praise
lifting countless voices in spiritual refrain. - moving beyond the worldly veil and fixing our eyes on eternity, that is where the joy and hope on this earth ultimately arise from.

I loved the last stanza so much, because it came closest to describing my own beliefs in the great big Beyond:
Beyond Suffering ...
life is born anew in fervent prayer
cleansing the heart, mind, body, and soul
in forgiveness life-changing joy evermore.

I enjoyed reading your authors notes as much as reading your poem. The poem touched me and was indeed inspirational. Very well composed and reads smooth. Don

Amen! Inspired and inspiring poetry. I love it when Christians praise God in poetry. You have penned a blessed song of praise and a hymn of joy. God bless.

This a strong and compelling write, Eugene -- just wonderful in its 'drumbeat' and overall message of deliverance! :) ;) I really think your chosen format here is a winner in any book, even though there is no competition....but it is a winner of souls for Christ! :) If nothing else, you have written it in a manner that makes others 'think' what 'could be'....thank you for sharing! :) Yvette :)

This should be posted on the walls of psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors offices where it could bring healing either on its own, or in conjunction with the learned people who work to help troubled souls. Wow!
