Very Good.
I often hear this expressed - is the glass half full or half empty? But of course that excludes certain people who approach life by taking the glass and smashing it against the wall (I am sure you will have had days like this too - if you have not, then you must live in that part of the world where Monday does not exist).
A very fresh take on the matter though - light and dark and the choice is revealing. I will watch out for you at the booth as I found this to be a strong, fresh piece, with which I wish you well.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. We can consider dark shadows or bright spots to focus on and what we decide is what our life will be rather in the sunlight than in the dark shadows.

They certainly do...choice is what makes us adult..my standard 3 teacher always said
I go with bright spaces but you know it's the dark shadows that make them brighter
