Oh my, are we doing riddles on here? Very interesting puzzle that I should probably know off the top of my head, but it is midnight almost and I am too tired to figure it out. But thanks for posting this fun little challenge.

Probably more than one way to skin this cat, but a quarter, three dimes and 9 nickels would do the trick . . . unless I'm missing something. Thanks for the puzzle!

Whoa, this is the first time in my life that I've read anything like this in a writer's group. I find it original and intriquing.

As for the answer, I won't even make the try - I'm lucky to get the right answer for zero-minus-zero. Yep, that's the kind of non-Einstein I am.

It was my understanding that there wouldn't be any math. I have no clue what the answer could be. So I'd appreciate having the answer. Because believe it or not I'm curious.

Hi Rhonnie, can't say I've come up with answer, not dealing in Dollars and cents on a daily basis. I enjoyed your riddle and hope you get many takers. All the best. Ulla:)))

How fun!! :) ;) The presentation of a puzzle in the form of a post -- good challenge for some, but I confess, I already know the answer (7-d, 6-n) -- hope you got a lot of takers, though!! :) ;) Thanx for sharing!

Rhonnie this is just so much fun, I love riddles and learning how to count money properly is a good thing, particularly if you're saving.

A cute story and artwork and many thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the next one.

Nine nickles, three dimes and a quarter, not allowing for inflation...at the local Italian restaurant, the cashier looked oddly at me when I asked. "Do you take plastic?" she said, "We try not to mess with cash..."neat riddle...
