Cheers, Nomi338;
> I enjoyed the violently profound and subsequently direct approach to a staggering question of why these people have to die the other day.
>Very well written rhyming words that were contingent and supportive to the meaning and concept of each line therefore making the enchantment flow smoothly.
> The imagery was directly related to subsequent definitive descriptiveness and the examining expressiveness of your writing.
> I was very entertained and thank you for sharing and take care and have a good one.

NOMI

I feel for these people. It's not fair. Random isn't fair and it creates a ton of anxiety across society. Are there more random shootings? Does media overplay them for ratings. Crazy is crazy. Normal people can't understand crazy without going crazy. I know one thing, if I hear a shot or a boom I'm hitting the floor ASAP! Take care and thanks for sharing you thoughts.

Thank you Rikie1. I have been saying in my replies to reviewers that hatred, and anger filled violence is a display of mental illness. I believe that hatred is a sign of mental unbalance.

Let's face it the world is out of control and there is no end in sight as long as there is one angry person that wants to get even some way somehow.

Thank you. I agree, the world has gone crazy and there seems to be no help in sight.

This is very good. I liked it very much. I understand the symbolism in this with all the shootings and so forth. Now the one in California. This well written and flows well. You have captured the world as it is today, with all the senseless killing. Well done. Keep writing. It is great about you have 5 books of poems published. Awesome.

A very well-written poem about another horrific senseless mass killing by an unknown gunmen. No one can understand why some people just start shooting at people they do not even know.

My position on this is that these people do not possess the mental strength to deal with their frustration so they allow their emotions to get the best of them and the explode into violent acts. We as a people have to do a better job of equipping our young and impressionable children with the necessary coping skills to get through tough and trying time and situations.

He has been identified now, a young ex Marine. It's time the governments got their acts together and looked after these men who have seen and had to do horrendous things. How can they come home and be normal? It's the same in the UK. The difference here is, we don't have guns, so something like this is rare. But we do have killings, knives. We can't take those away, anyone just has to walk into their kitchen to arm themselves with carving knives, dinner knives, etc. I feel so sorry for the families who are being told they have lost a son or daughter. Why do people want to keep guns? It would scare the life out of me if I found out my husband had one in the house. Your poem is brilliant, it is straight and to the point and yes, mental illness does play a big part in these shootings, but there have been others that aren't.
Well done. Sandra xxx

Thank you so much my dear MS Mitchell. I have read much of your writing and I respect your talent and pattern of thinking. You know if someone snaps and decides to go on a killing spree with a knife, the amount of damage he can do will be so much less before he is stopped and apprehended. Conversely, someone armed with an automatic machine gun/assault weapon can kill large numbers of people in seconds, reload and continue. I tell you, there is no logical reason for any sane non military person to own an assault rife except to be able to kill many people in a short period of time.
When the end of this worldly system comes to an end and these people have to face God's avenging angels machine guns, rockets and even atomic bombs won't help them.

I remember writing something about gun laws being introduced in America, to stop kids from being afraid of going to school, but the laws of dead guns is more precious than the lives of children but also ordinary people. How do the muskets of the late 1800s compare with assault rifles of the 21st century. The maths are simple no guns = no gun death. Guns = ? Deaths. Well written, blessings, Roy

I stated in an earlier reply, when gun owners have to face God's avenging angels, their automatic weapons of mass destruction will be useless. What will they then do?

In my opinion, another horrible occasion for a stunning and dramatic write - well constructed and easy in its smooth rhyming rhythm. When can we turn our attention to the inspired and inspiring events in life, that seem to grow fewer and fewer each day...

Simple, sensationalism sells, it is exciting and gets people engaged. Cynically, it also feeds the medical, funeral, law enforcement and gun sales business as well.

I know, but I can wish can't I - I would appreciate some peace once in a while, Nomi, even a brief respite from the glaring atrocities that invade our senses...Eve

Another great tragedy which you put into words beautifully. It seems that near every day there is another mass shooting somewhere. The picture you chose is a great depiction. The thoughts flow well as do the words. I have nothing to add or subtract.

As we cling to our guns'. That statement sums it up my brother. One clings to the asp that bites, hoping it does not bite them.

Many will go , or in the future, would have gone through life feeling themselves lucky, even through normality.

Best wishes, Nomi.
Keep well.
My best wishes.
