A very well-written chapter. To split up is not always a good idea to think you will get more done in the same time. When one thing goes wrong it seems the rest fall apart too.

I commend you on a well rounded chapter, and on the procedure described with regard to the seizure. Jeanne's character is not well understood at this point, for me, but probably is for others considering your depth into the novel. Both Helen and Charles converse naturally in written form. This shows that you have obviously written before; so, I will not elaborate more. Do you take the photographs for your writing, or do you secure them from another artist? Thank you for sharing. I am impressed. tkbrown

Very many thanks for your review, tkbrown. I appreciate your comments. Mostly, I am taking copyright-free photos from the internet, but there have been one or two of my own as well. Jeanne's character is developing slowly as the novel progresses. However, Charles and Helen have become fairly firmly established in my mind and on the page. I particularly appreciate your comments about the dialogue between them, as this is an aspect that I have been working on, with some help from other site members. All the best, Tony

You are welcome, Tony. Once the characters begin to take shape in your mind, it is easier to translate them to the page. Being able to communicate between them in dialogue on the page usually means they are coming along nicely. You are doing well. tkbrown

Hi, Tony,

I'm wondering about Jeanne's sudden illness. It could be that I'm just naturally suspicious, but the timing seems a bit hinky.

You're doing a wonderful job of describing the business of the streets in Paris. I'm actually hungry for escargot at five-thirty in the morning!

I look forward to more,

~MP~

Ha! Ha! I don't think I could come at escargot at dawn! You are right - it might be convenient for the story-line to have Jeanne out of the way for a while. By the way, your poetry arrived on my Kindle yesterday. I'm looking forward to reading it over the next few days, and will leave a review on Amazon for you in due course. All the best, Tony

When in doubt have one of your main characters undergo a seizure. Not deus ex machine more deus ex medicina. Whether this was induced by the ungodly or truly an act of God we will have to wait and see. I think you caught the mood of panic where the unkept RV was concerned rather well. The story continues to intrigue.

Thanks, Jim. I was relieved to have the intervention of Aescepulus - it has been a deuce of a business engineering some time alone for Charles to read this blessed journal - and to let us know what's in it.
