Interesting word choices. The words seem contradictory, but they are not really as the value of family is or at the very least should be equally important to everyone despite their political leanings. I am certain that this is the way things were initially intended to be.

Hi Bill, very true. Family values are widely shared but are they always being valued? Exactly it's a conservative issue and then what? This 5-7-5 poem raised a few questions. Good luck. All the best. Ulla:))

"Family Values" is an old-fashioned issue, and I hope what the term includes is shared by all. To me family means just that--the traditional husband, wife, children. Now, it seems, husband is no longer in the picture. It would be great if everyone shared the same idea of family values. Your three lines inspire a lot of thought. judi
