Thank you for your comments. I wrote this story over two years ago. I don't think it won the contest but I had fun writing it. I do love my cats.

Thank you. Cats do know a cat hater when they see one. They also know who like them. A man in an expensive suit came to our house. My Himalayan cat, Elroy, looked the guy over then jumped onto his lap. I was horrified his suit would be ruined. The guy just laughed and said he was a cat lover and cats landed on him where ever he went.

Well you nailed it. The perfect combination of a wedding and a cat. You had me worried about the cat. I consider myself an animal lover. I used to have a kennel but now my companions are felines. Anyway a good story and wonderful entry for the contest. Best of wishes with this piece.

Clever use of both the cat and wedding together as the prompt advised to do. I laughed because my dad had a cat that acted like Sam. His cat was named Jasper.

Oh, from an animals' point of view! Lol! It was a comment made by another FS friend, who says we can't possible know what an animal thinks! I disagree. But who knows, he may have been right. But I enjoy trying and have a few stories from animals POV too. Nice work in my opinion PBB. :)

Sam is determined to stop the marriage between his mistress and her cat-hating fiancée. He sends food flying from the table, and knocks over the wedding cake. When he is kicked across the room by the cat-hater, Sam considers the pain worth it when he hears his owner says, "I will not marry someone who doesn't like cats."
Nice job of incorporating a wedding and cat in your story.

Good kitty! hehe I have two cats and a dog. I think I am more of a cat person. I grew up with dogs. Right now we have 4 kittens too. I can't imagine not loving animals. The exception for me would be reptiles. I don't hate them but they are not my favorite. Great job.
