I love the sentiments here and my church is always packed! I can neve find a pew! But then again it is in the city, I loved your easy flow and rhymes and I hope all the parishioners return to your church soon, love Dolly x

A very well-written poem about the churches that seem to run empty while the places where evil rules are full of followers that share in the things the devil offers.

It must be true that Man's hubris affects his attitude, thus practices concerning religion, and supports your observation about the 'empty pew'. Your poem is, as they say, 'more truth than poetry.'

If I had a six star rating left this poem would have earned one. I judge a poem by four criteria. If it rhymes, if it makes sense, if it's spiritual, and if it touched me emotionally. You hit all four

"The Church Is Calling You", is an extremely well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have fives left. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

I think that churches are the staple to people's well being. We go there for God to heal us. It is simply said in this poem that miracles do happen. We sit on Sundays to hear God's words. He helps us in time of need when we need him the most. Helpful poem! Nice work!

I am afraid I have been a backslider these days gone by because my husband needs me right here at home taking care of him. God hears my prayers right here at home.

A nicely written poem about attending church. Of course attendance is down, man is wanting signs of God's love, even though we are told not to look for signs. The church has become an institution in many ways, like going to school. There are other ways to worship Him who first loved us. My garden is my cathedral, His love shown in the beauty of His creations. We can worship wherever we are, He is always listening. Blessings, K.

What a wonderful write that serves as a standing invitation to everyone...I like that the pew is 'theirs' and 'waiting' ... great job! :) Thank you for sharing that noted call with all of us! :)
