I agree, Jay. People are 'too busy' for what they need. They only believe in what they 'want.' I enjoyed your poem. Good job with the rhymes, the smooth flow, and the clear message. Thanks for sharing and caring. Jan

How sadly true. Church attendance has dropped WAY down in these last few years. We've become a world who turns it's back on God. It won't do to die by. Beautiful,
Blessings...

This is nicely composed, Jay. Well rhymed. Church is a solace for some, giving respect and honor to God. Others find no use for it. Others can take it or leave it and/or pray on their own without benefit of a building. Giving one hour in a formal setting to God isn't too much to ask. Marilyn

This is excellent. We need help and guidance through life, and it's never too late to attend. Once again, this write is great and has a strong message.

When I am healthy enough to go to church my behind is firmly planted in one of the pews in our church every Wednesday evening, Sunday for Sunday school and adult worship fellowship services on Sunday night.
I don't necessarily believe that you have to go to church to enter God's kingdom. But it does help to interact with like minded people.
Nice poem, Jaybird.
Enjoy you're day.
~Dean

I like this! And your words are so true. Too many people ignore church and do their own thing. It is so rewarding to go to church on Sunday and enjoy with others. Of course we are all sinners and we know that too. I like your rhyming - it is my favorite form of poetry as well. Thanks for the write. Blessings, Carol

Beautiful. Reminds me of a church sign I saw years ago: We need one more family. In this busy world we need a safe refuge, a place we are welcomed. Thankyou for opening the doors so elegantly.

Hello Jaybird, a very well written poem with good rhyme and rhythm throughout. A thoughtful subject on a general fact - church attendances are down. You write in an encouraging way and hope your words will encourage. A good poem and an enjoyable read. Warm regards Dorothy

You've done really well rhyming in this poem! I liked the fact that you speak in a comforting way of the Church. Your words were soft and made me feel at home in the church, a place to release our burdens. A great write with a good flow and rhyme to it. Great job!

That was an earnest call to attend the church. many people I know are agnostics and they don't realise that praying and communicating with god helps to make one strong.
god's place is open to all -to good as well as bad people
I enjoyed reading it.
