LOL! Only a mother can get away with that sort of talk with her son. I'm just the same, they wouldn't dare answer me back even at there ages of 44 and 47! But it's not often we do it, is it? I love to remodel my lounge and the bedrooms from time to time, but on a budget. I have to watch out for the sales. Now, we all want to know what Susan was saying to Drew.... :) Well done, my friend. Another excellent part. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Barbara, So Susan mother had a good talk with Drew, ad I think I know what all that was about, and Jeff knows it as well, which he made no bones of. Susan and Shana seem to be getting on very well. Great chapter. So what is Drew going to do now? All the best. Ulla:)))

I think Shana is beginning to like the idea that money is no object. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Typical ladies shopping for change. Sounds like my daughters when rearranging their homes. We men bet the walls get painted. LOL. Good one Barbara. Settling in it seems.

This is delightful. It sounds like Susan is really warming to Shana. Or is it just her decorating ideas? Anyhow, I can imaging her telling Drew not to let Shana get away. Drew has been working on it, anyway. It's Shana who's been hard to convince. It looks as if Shana may be on her own for a while. Nothing could go wrong, could it? Excellent and worth six stars. judi

Hello Barb
I like how Shana to me that she has found something that drew her interest to help keep her busy other than watch soap operas when she suggest that the foyer should be re-decorated.
Barb, now what part (chapter in your) did Susan had a talk ((with who) with only a mother would understand and why is Jeff so distributed with Anderson?

Good chapter. They're acting like family now, and it sounds normal. So why can't they BE family? Oh, that's right, it's the father who is the problem... potentially at least. Why not give him a try? He might come around? Surely he can see how well Drew and Shana get along. He's not blind. He must know how they feel by now.

Hi Barbara, what a painful story. We the old generation is completely different from the now generation. They think they know everything. I was away for 2 years due to health problems, so i will try to read your story from the beginning. I am so happy to be back. God bless u Terry xoxo I loved the picture of the German Shepard dog it made me cry, as we had one.

I like how you put the characters at the end of each chapter. Bob Hartson (Mastery) wanted me to do that with my book but I felt being an autobiography it was not really relevant. What do you think? A bit hard now it is all finished to go back and add more. Another great read. One suggestion. Here's the USA West Coast thing hehe leaving out "of"...Susan's doing most (of)the talking.

I fought putting the list of characters for a long time, but because I usually only post 500 words at a time and it takes forever to get the entire novel posted I decided to go for it. Thank you for the kind review.

Excellent characterisation and use of dialogue in here, and there's tension in among the mundane. There's a lot going on, and it's not just about remodelling the room. Excellent work.
