Pam. I'm addicted to your wonderful art and poetry. Super combination. Giraffes are beautiful--long eyelashes as well as legs. We fed them at the Animal Safari in San Diego. Marilyn

Nice 5-7-5 with a super illustration, Pam. Too bad it's not in a contest.
(Mama giraffe had better stay careful. There are lions out there.)

hey, I missed this one somehow. another great picture and another short poem. the Star of the Denver Zoo died a few months ago. he was old and he was big. good work Pam.................meeshu

Ha, now this is good "tude" Pam. That little feller knows where there's some shade, right in the camouflage of mother's spots.

What a cutie the baby is. Good job, Pam, with your 575. All syllables are correct per line. I enjoyed reading this. I like how it implies that mothers protect their young. Thanks for sharing. Awesome painting by you, too, Jan

Safe and sound- how we all want to be. And animals have a natural instinct on how to protect their young. Wish humans would learn from them ! Lovely picture. How about a baby zebra next time?
