Hi again, my friend. You really are a talented painter, Pam. I can see that your work is not hurried, but rather you are tuned in to nature in all of its forms and express that in both oils and writing. Bravo! Bob

My work takes me a long time to paint, yes. I layer and use thick paint. I spend the most time with the Composition. Try to use emotion Thank you for your wonderful review

Your husband's choice of name displays a considerable degree of self-confidence, being quite content to viewing himself as being voted 'best in show'. I trust this self-confidence is well-founded.

Lol, Jim. Never thought that he might be vain. Some reviewers thought he really was best in show even though my notes said it is a fictitious bird. Thanks for the great review

A very well-written 5-7-5 about the beautiful mysterious bird that seems to catch the eye and favor of your husband that named the bird after himself. Great painting to ilustrate your poem perfectly.

Thank you Sandra for your wonderful review

What a colorful bird! I like how you can spot the bird and it isn't blended in the background. You are so good at syllable counts, I still do not know how to write poems that require specific syllables. Thanks for sharing yet another great piece !

Thank you Antonette. The trick to making the bird stand out is to use colors in the background that are not on the bird. Thank you for such a wonderful review

Thank you meeshu for a great review. I think he looks kind of like a chickadee. Maybe not.

This is excellent. I'm assuming you did the artwork. You're a very talented artist also. As I read your poem, I was reminded Phyllis Stewart won best in show.

Phyllis Stewart? I don?t know of her. But a funny winner in a beauty contest would be Phyllis Diller. Remember her? Thank you for the humorous review

Oh! I love your little "rugsy" bird. It looks like it could be a real bird. Hope your painting got a "best in show" award, too. Thanks for sharing another painting - poem pair!

Hi Helen. I never entered it in a shoe. Just Rugsy?s. But it is in Birmingham, England now. Sold it to a Brit

Oh how I love this painting. Rugby is a perfect name for your gorgeous bird. 'Voted best of show' is a great end transition ... excellent 5-7-5. No suggestions for correction. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this wonderful piece. I am glad he's posed with confidence. Is your hubby confident also? ;-)
Keep Em coming, my dear.

Janelle,
here is a wicked answer to your question of whether my husband has confidence. It depends on if I am dressed or undressed. Lol. Could not resist. Thank you for a wonderful review

I am not surprised that this bird won the contest. He is such a colourful, little dude. Congratulations to him and to you for writing such a nice little poem. Love Jen.
