She is the heartbeat of my life and never leaves my side from bed to planes, boats and trains anywhere I go. My wife(1951--2011) left Miko the Chihuahua with me. After reading about Dean's Gidget and many others, I say blessings on the creatures that share our lives. Excellent post.

Amen, and Amen! These little creatures are so fully packed with genuine love and it's a shame that so many are neglected and that love is not truly appreciated. Thanks for your excellent review and stars, so much appreciated! HIS GRAYNESS Vance

Good for you, Vance. I enjoyed your story about you and Bitsy. I know she is your baby. Animals are good therapy for humans. So many wonderful animals need good homes. I'm happy you found each other. I put two and two together on this one. Maybe Bitsy insisting she sleep on your head has something to do with things. Dogs DO have an uncanny ability to be healers. No matter what it is that helped you, kudos to you both for your bonding relationship with each other. A win-win situation. Best to you both. Marilyn

A very well-written hearyflt story. When we just sit and wait for death to come we will slowly die, even without any diagnosis of a life threatening death. I am pleased to learn about your health miracle.

Yay! Hallelujah! Inspiring tale!

Glad you're still here, extremely pleased to hear your plaque is gone (miracle of love!)...and I hope you have many more birthdays to come, dearest Vance. I'm sure you charm the puppies as much as the people whom you encounter. You're an angel-person, I feel. Always knew it! I can feel your positive spirit every time we interact. Bitsy is just as lucky to have you as you are to have her.

This reads smoothly except for three things:

1) a ton of spag issues, mostly related to commas
2) too many run on sentences
3) lack of spacing between paragraphs (fine for a document but hard to read on screens online...I suggest adding in extra line breaks between paragraphs for ease of reading for your Fanstorian friends).

This is a charming share.

NOTES

*
First(,) my sincere thanks to all of my dear Fanstory Friends

*
ALZHEIMER(')S disease would be taking me out

*Of course(,) I prayed that somehow God would intervene

*yet(,) for some reason(,) it became quiet

*The neighbor came out(,) one day(,) and insisted that there must be some special charm I had for dogs(,) as nobody ever calmed his puppy as I always did.

*
I told him that I always had dogs throughout my life(,) and they always knew I loved them, and (they) had no fear.

*
He asked if I had a dog now(,) and I told him I would love to but my health was a bit less than playful.

*He insisted that a loving puppy would always be a very positive(,) and his daughter actually had a new teacup y(Y)orkie that had to be given up due to bad, almost dangerous(,) behavior of their very young son(,) and wondered if I might make a visit and see if something good might be worked out for both of us.

That is a SUPER LONG RUN ON SENTENCE., especially hard to navigate with the missing commas. THe above comma suggestions would fix it but it is still overly long, so I suggest breaking it into two or three sentences. Example:

He insisted that a loving puppy would always be a very positive. His daughter actually had a new teacup Yorkie that had to be given up due to bad, almost dangerous, behavior of their very young son. He wondered if I might make a visit and see if something good might be worked out for both of us.

*I agreed(,) and(,) as soon as I stepped into the daughter's home, the little y(Y)orkie virtually shot across the living room and jumped into my arms. t(T)he puppy literally yelped and licked non(-)stop to the absolute amazement of the owners and all to my delight!

*
The beautiful, tiny, little puppy was soon in my home and my life every minute thereafter, bearing her new name(,) Bitsy, once featured in Fanstory as 'THE ULTIMATE "G' spot..(meaning 'GRATITUDE' (still in my Fanstory portfolio}(.)

*and my Alzheimer's consequences were simply taken in stride, day by day(,) as I continued nearly constant visits to the doctors and exray(x-ray) machines

* that I actually quit caring about if and when death might come(,) as I was having more fun than ever before with my new love.

* e(E)very single night of my life!(,) her tiny little five(-)pound body warms and calms me to sleep(,) and I rest in a constant state of ultimate gratitude!(delete ! as it comes again at the end of the sentence) never before ever known!

* They run constant exray(x-ray) scans

*upon my brain(ADD SPACE)(as that is the death process of Alzheimer's).

*As of my last visit two weeks ago, they reported to me that my plaque is gone(,) and I am very likely to be the first person in history to actually escape the sure death of Alzheimer's disease!!!!

* c(C)ould there be something about love in this story??

*
HIS GRAYNESS;(,) Vance

Since I know you'd fix at least the spag, five stars in advance, though the content and effect both are a six.

As always, I enjoyed reading your post-- immensely...the energy of love is so vibrant! Yummy!

Love,
rd
