Wow! So much information here. Loved learning that you have so many hobbies in arts and crafts as well as writing and reviewing and connecting with us here. Those rallies sound interesting and that extra insurance is good advice. But the part that really tickled my funny bone was:
"Have you ever tried to walk a dog with a plastic shopping bag taped on each of its legs? " No, I have never had that experience!

Thank you so much Helen. I am so glad you enjoyed this one and you appreciated the information. It definitely was interesting walking the dog with plastic bags, thank goodness I had a good supply of them.

Hey Alie what does ARYR stand for? A red yellow robin? :) Just kidding. Well you certainly know how to get around. When you visited Carolina was it as bad as I saw from the hurricane? It must be nice to "make homemade whiskey." I would like the recipe that way I know what goes in it. You mentioned that you like working with stones. I collect myself, many I have no idea what they are. That you for sharing your life on the road.

Hi Jose, aryr are my initials, so you already know what the first 'a' stands for lol. I will make sure I send you the recipe, probably Thursday. North Carolina tends to get damage from hurricanes on a regular basis. The flooding I was talking about was the results of rains related to post hurricane. Well I do stone readings just like someone does tarot cards and I like to work with quartz crystals and amethysts. Thank you so much for reading, reviewing and your comments and questions.

Wow! I think I would love RVing! :) ;) I really enjoyed your write here -- so very much info on a different part of the country and one of the reason I enjoy reading: you get to 'go' places and 'experience' things you might not have a chance to do 'for real'! :) Thank you for bringing us those experiences!! :) :) Yvette:)

A super job with this informative continuation of your traveling lifestyle, Alie. Interesting for all of us wannabes. An adventure for sure. I particularly liked your reference to the stone readings. Your piece is well describes and you bring your reader right into it. Descriptions are vivid and helpful. This sentence may need to be clarified as it reads a little awkwardly:
"Although he did in Oklahoma worked for about three weeks with someone who had been trained at..."

i am honoured to find a question I asked some time ago, and which you had already answered privately crompped up woven into this story. Talking of weaving. This episode seems to have a somewhat complex pattern that to your credit you do seem to realise at the end.. in fact it is less of a weave than the stitching of various little gemms onto a fairly plain background like one of those bejewelled cushions.

Despite the title this episode seemed to spend very little time in North carolina, preferring to spend time touring the varoius Big Rig moots around the country. It was all very interesting but, to be honest, seemed somewhat fragmented.

'An FYI, in areas that are affected ...' You shouldn't really use abbreviations this way in formal prose writing. The paragraph should dive straight in with:
'In areas that are affected ...'
The whole article is 'for your information.'

Hi, Allie. A nice installment here with lots of color and imagery.

This part isn't funny but it is in a way:
"Have you ever tried to walk a dog with a plastic shopping bag taped on each of its legs? Trust me it is an adventure you take at least four times a day. And if you can find the droppings, you will have to reach through the water. And if you don't have rubber boots you will be in flip flops in yukky water. Oh, the joys.

Allie, that is interesting that you can get someone to drive your rig back home in the event of a crisis. Good to know for a few of my friends who travel a lot in RVs

Bless you, my friend. Bob

Suggestion: This sentence seems a bit scrambled for some reason "

"Although he did in Oklahoma worked for about three weeks"

Thanks so much Bob for reading, reviewing and your kind comments. I have to admit I was rather annoyed while doing the doggie stuff but now I can explain it to others and laugh. I will send you a separate message regarding the insurance package company. And I will fix that sentence in a few minutes. Thanks, bright blessings.

I love your stories about RV life and how you enjoy being a part of your surroundings no matter where you find yourself. Your hobbies interest me and I am dying to know what stone readings are. Great job on this.

RVing can be fun if you know the ins and outs of what to expect so there are no foul-ups. knowledge is worth a million during these times. Great story. My friend has grounded herself for now and has purchased a home base.

It was interesting reading your rudimentary ruminations. The essential side of harnessing power sources fot your usage. The preparation of things is essential, because you have many moving parts to your mobile home, so I guess much attention to your every running is essential, You haven't mentioned solar power? It's, much used here. Well dine, good reading, blessings, Roy

You are an adventurous person. I could never live for one week the way you do, especially with flooding. And I wouldn't take on the extra task of dealing with a dog. Having them here at home is hard enough, since they do tend to sneak out and run off. In the neighborhood, they know how to get back home, but in a campground that changes repeatedly? I'd worry too much.

I did go across the country camping with a tent, but that was just a two-week trip and done purely for fun. No schedules to meet. It's a pain to set up camp every day or so, and it would have been nice to have an RV when that awful storm washed into our tent and got us soaked. Nothing is perfect. :)

Thank you so much Phyllis for reading, reviewing and your kind comments. I agree that it is a worry, but I guess I am blessed that the cat just looks out the door and then goes into the bedroom- she is 13 so not overly active. She likes to lie in the sun on the back of the recliner or the couch. The dog has been on a leash since we started this and now even when she does sneak out the door if it is not latched tight, she either goes to the truck to get in or she goes no further than a few feet. Wow a tent.
