Outstanding retelling of the story of Jesus saving the adulteress. Your set-up gives the reader a good sense of the crowd's change of attitude and the main characters' emotions. Well done. :) Nancy

K, a good contender for the 75 words flash fiction contest. This is based on the stories told but I found it a great reminder that one should not judge or be hypocrite to their own values. "Let one of you that is without sin cast the first stone." - Love this line. Great job and best of luck in the competition. ~DD

Hi there fellow Aussie. Coming through looking for my reviewers that are still on FS. A lot have left sadly. You did a review for my autobiography (Little Dog That Wouldn't Let Go)some time back and I am preparing an Acknowledgement page of all my reviewers.Good quick story. We know Mary Magdalene was possessed of Seven spirits but I hope you don't mind if I comment to say we are not sure she was an Adulteress or even as one of the churches claims a Prostitute. There is no scripture actually says that. UNless some Modern Translation might have taken that liberty. My wife and I are both disabled. She has Cerebral palsy my stuff is all internal.Good picture as well.

Hello Sankey, Thanks for reading and your comments. I believe she was the woman "caught in adultery." Jesus forgave her, He said "Go and sin no more." Sorry you are both disabled, as am I - amputee. Blessings, K.

OK lemme tell you a story about an Amputee that got fed up with the authorities asking for a Medical report everytime her Mobility Parking needed renewing...she said "Did they think grew a leg or something??" Hope not offended.

I have heard many amputee jokes over the 36 years I have been legless. And, I don't drink? 👀

Whoa you did a wonderful job with this, K. So many people stand in judgement of others when they themselves are guilty of much worse.

I wish you much luck with the Contest Committee with the gem.

Gloria

It is always refreshing to read this story about Jesus and Mary Magadelene. It shows Jesus with compassion and no judgement. Excellent flash fiction theme and I wish you well in the contest.

Good luck in the contest or hopes that you did well. Even though it was short it said so much. I liked the picture you used, it gave that sense of awe and hope. The story itself has been told many time but usually drawn out and lengthy, this was enjoyable and direct. Your narrative gave it strength. Thanks for sharing.
