Very amusing and entertaining. Love your use of alliteration. Well written and I can smell aroma coffee brewing in kettle. Such good details. You have my thumbs up in contest that just launched you ibto 2nd place. Liberty justice

I am addicted for sure. I can't get going in the morning or think straight until I have my coffee. We fresh grind and brew strong coffee every morning.

I like the title of this poem. It's true for many people around the world! I like the "sigh, surrender, sip" line. Great verbs for the writing prompt. Paints a picture of a typical day in English or wherever morning tea is served.

Hi Kay thanks for the review. I do love my first coffee in the morning. There is a power surge across England whenever there is breaking news. Everyone plugs in the kettle! Bless. j
