Amazing! I didn't know you could use two images with one piece. I see lighthouses, I always associate lighthouses with ghosts but not this time, this makes me think of lighthouses keeping the lake at bay and guiding us to the superior lake. This deserved six stars!

HELLO POET: I've never seen Lake Superior in real life. Now that I've viewed your posting here I wouldn't mind going some day and see it. I've imagined that while I'm standing there gazing at it I'll say: "WOW. I'm glad that poet inspired me to visit this spectacle." Thank you for sharing, poet. God bless you and yours. Cordially: rhonnie69.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. You should come to Duluth Minnesota, a wonderful port city on a hill. Kind of like San Francisco but next to Lake Superior ...the best place to visit and live. Thanks again for reading.

There was quite a bit of rhyme/near rhyme, but no steadfast pattern so you kept to the prompt instructions. I like the comparison, in both text and pics, but think it would have been more visually appealing if the lines were centered or something. A pretty straightforward piece. One of my favorite lines-- Cradling the Edmund Fitzgerald, where no poor souls were saved. Thank you for promoting and good luck.

I loved your photos and the story/descriptions of each, which show just how wild and unforgiving the storm waters can be and the bottom with the calm and serenity. Your nod to the Edmund Fitzgerald/watery grave is a heartfelt line. Well-written contest entry. Good luck.

Great pictures! I remember a Gordon Lightfoot song that came out in the late 70s (?) about the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I love that song. The Great Lakes are something special. I used to own a home on Lake Ontario. They're like little inland oceans, creating their own weather systems. And Lake Superior, of course, is the most impressive of them all. Great poem! All the best, Ann Marie

A very well-written poem about the biggest body of water on earth. The ocean have many secrets we do not know about. What we see with out eyes are already amazin enought to blow our minds.

Thanks so much for reading my poem..its actually about one of the great lakes, but it definitely looks like an ocean because of its size..its the largest of the great lakes. Thanks again for the review.

This is a tribute to this large body of water where there is much wildlife and the fishing sounds like fun too. We can never underestimate the power of such a lake, your words are resonating, love Dolly x

SUperior it's said, never gives up the dead, when the winds of November come early. A great song about a great lake. I used to live on the border of Lake Erie. It's a great place to live.
