Hi, Rox,

It does seem that those who are gifted in the areas of creating wonderful paintings, cards, or anything messy, usually wear the leavings of their crafts all over them.

Who can tell anything about anyone by observing what's on the outside?

    Thank you Patty. Apperances are deciving and it is often hard to tell what a person even looks like when they are covered in glitter. =}

I think I told you how much my sister loved your book. I told her to go on Amazon and leave a review, I'll remind her again. Her hame is Connie.

Hi Roxanna. Good entry for your club contest. I used to be a superstar at work. I would be the one everyone came to for help to really complex issues. I was working on thirty things at once. My desk was always super messy paper on top of paper on top of paper, etc. but they were amazed that I could always quickly find everything, knowing just how far down it was. I am sure you are the same with your crafting. Bet you know where everything is. That is really what matters. Do you ever take photos of your creations and post them with poems? There is an old saying 'a clean desk is the sign of a sick mind". Good job. Thank you for sharing

This is a really cute poem, Roxanna. I totally get what you say about crafting materials all over the place. I too used to do a lot of crafting years ago. It's fun but it can get quite messy, and of course you need a fair amount of space to house all of your crafting materials.

The "real" you might prefer things neat and tidy, but crafting materials take up lots of space, not to mention that projects currently on the go take up a fair bit of space as well. As long as you look neat and tidy when you leave the house, who cares, right? :) Crafting is a great way of expressing your creative side ... as is writing.

You've created a great poem here. It's one that I think many can relate to. Well written rhyming couplets that create excellent imagery for your reader.

"Every room in my home bares witness I've come through,
As tiny bits of crafting drop off me like morning dew." ... my fave line!

I enjoyed reading this fun poem! Nice job on the Picture This challenge. Keep crafting these fun poems!

Hugs,
bichonfrisegirl aka Connie

Thanks so much Connie. I'm a mess, what I really want is a rolling craft table that I can work on and roll into my room when I have company. I do have a craft room, but my sis who lives with me get lonely when I'm in there all the time, I'm either making cards, I have a little card shop on Etsy, or writing so she complained that I'm always shut away. So I bring my huge mess to the kitchen bar so I can watch TV with her. She doesn't mind the mess and I do clean up when company comes. =} Rox

Hey, maybe some on first impression would find you messy and unorganized.
But as long as it works for you and you know where everything is, the opinions of others doesn't really matterIf you're happy with the way things are that's all that truly matters.
Take care, Rox

True, but the problem is I never know where anything is! I get so frustrated, I'm always digging thru my mess to find what I need. I'm the same way at work. I have the messiest desk ={ But I'm old so they let me get away with it. I bring in lots of candy too, so they let me get away with anything. =} I like it that way, =} Thanks Dean, hope your doing well, Rox

Hi Roxanna. This is a fun take on the image submitted for this post. I like crafts and art, too. It really can be a mess unless we have a dedicated place to "play." Enjoyable rhyming couplets, especially sparkly you in the ending one. Marilyn

I do have a room, but I live with my sis and she hate I'm hold up in the craft room all the time so I bring it into the kitchen and thus a mess. But she never complains and isn't so loney anymore. =} Thanks so much, Rox

Hiya Rox, you glitter-head (just joking).

I enjoyed your poem for multiple reasons; one, it is a fun read, two, it was well written and three, it gave us an insight to the real you(?), honest and un-a-fraid!

Nicely done as always, John

Thanks so much John. When I start working on my Christmas cards is when the glitter really flies. We even eat it at times. But it makes every things so pretty even poo. =} Rox

Hi Rox. I really like your interpretation of your writing challenge, "I'm Watching You." I enjoyed your sense of humor and the attention to the glittery details. :) Yet, I also understand the deeper meaning of those sides of us we keep hidden. Love the sentiment. Well-written!

Thanks so much Cindy. Christmas card making season is when the glitter really flies. We even end up eating some. =p I'm glad I use the really fine kind. Rox

I remember my dad when he was alive. He was the most "dapper"and tidy man alive. Looking back, I've often said, he looked better in a boiler suit than I did in a tuxedo, (true) my mum was likewise, the same. I have two daughters, one is neat, the other...not so neat, (my wife is similar to me. Heh heh) Beautfully written Rox, yes I think we all wear a mask to a degree. Well done, great, sparkly rhyming couplets, blessings, Roy

Thanks so much. My mom was very neat because she never kept anything. When we kids clean out my folks house after they were both gone, they died with a month of each other, it took maybe 3 hrs. And that was going through photos and some papers. Mom was not a collector of anything. Me on the other hand, it will take around 3 weeks to get rid of all my stuff. =} Thanks so much again.

Hi Rox, that is a brilliant take on the Pix this challenge, I love it. You sound like my sister, she loves making arty-crafty things, and she's good at it too. But, you know where she is, you just have to follow the trail. lol. Well done, my friend, the poem was fun to read, and I've got to know you a little bit more. :)) Sandra xx

My sis is not always happy when she steps on a jewel I've dropped. Sometimes they hurt. ={ Thanks so much Sandra.

This is so cute and so cleverly written. I love your comparison of the trail you leave behind to Pig Pen's cloud of dust. Just as in Billy Joel's "The Stranger," you make good points about the way we want the world to see us vs. the way we really are. Your points come across clearly, your rhymes work well, and your gentle self-deprecating humor make this a very fun read.

Pig Pen was always one of my favorites. I could relate I guess. =} Thanks so much Michele.

You're welcome, as always. I love Pig Pen myself, as well as Peppermint Patty. I guess I root for the underdog.
