this hit my heart for this past month my parents had to be moved to the same place but split up across each other, each in a different building. my father has called me Laura, my moms older sister who died 30 yrs ago. I hope my mom doesn't forget who I am, she is my everything.
lulube good luck in the contest

This silent, impaired comprehension "monologue" is an excellent idea, and tells a touching story.

This is a very fine piece of writing. It has a wonderful cadence and pace. Excellent verse and verbiage. Well done, Anno. is this a sad tale of dementia or a kinda teasing Mom thing? I wish you well in all your future endeavors..

This was so heartfelt and such a well-written poem about Alzheimer's or dementia? It is so difficult for people to lose their memory and also hard for the family who wishes they weren't forgotten. :( This is a beautiful depiction of a family (although honest and sad) and a lovely freestyle for the contest. I hope you do well!

Poignant. Any for of Alzheimers must be so confusing and heartbreaking for both the victim and family. Very well written and expressed. The experiences you describe are what I heard from those caring for a patient. Excellent. Hugh

Love this bittersweet poem. I am living this out right now with my mother-in-law. She is in the final stages of Alzheimer's. She is loosing her ability to swallow. She does remember me on most days, I think. She is almost always in a state of confusion. It's hard to watch. Thank you for this. Baeyer well done.
All my best to you and yours,
Sally

The pain and suffering Alzheimer's brings to both the patient and the relatives is brought home with such heartfelt words. You are a fantastic writer but more so you invite the reader into the scenario which pulls the strings of pain to a breathless stop.
All the best for the contest.

This my FanStory Friend is an exceptional depiction of a woman has Alzheimer's Disease. You have reached the heart of this reader with your few memorable lines. Thank goodness I can still remember them. I have no recommendations for enhancement. I wish you success in this contest. Best, RFL

This gave me chills to think of a darling mum no longer able to recognize her daughter, her son.
I wish you luck with the contest. I hope it's not biographical for you. There's so much study in natural medicine on Alzheimer's...coconut oil to give another fuel for the brain has had surprising results.
God bless
