Dear Doctor:I really had to work on my skills to get to this level of skills. The story itself evolved in a very compelling manner as if I was just a scribe and writer was that invisible source. I hope you will read it from beginning and help me to improve. The novel, "Chasing of The Wind", is about a young man who was pushed into the priesthood by the family's RC priest and adults when they discover he was showing excessive attraction to young men and his own conflict with himself and the Church's position on the homosexuality when he becomes a Father Francis. Thanks for your valuable comments and ranking.-Arun

I haven't read the previous chapter, but your prose is easy to follow. It's almost as if you were talking to your readers and not writing to for them.

I am trying my best to improve my skills and comments like yours are helping me tremendously. I grew up with 19th and 20th century's British education and have a tendency to write long, compound sentences and metaphor loaded descriptions which are out of circulations today. It is the Tweeter era and I am trying to learn that precision writing. I appreciate your comments. My first published Novel "Wheel of Samsara-A complete Circle' is available on Lulu.com. I hope you will like it. Check it out on my portfolio here on the fanstory. Best regards and wishes. Many thanks for the rating.

    Sincerely,
    Arun

May I suggest a fellow countryman of yours to see how writing without adjectives and adverbs makes it all so much easier and faster? It's Lee Child. His storytelling is compelling. His sentences short and action-packed. His characters describe extremely well without packing adjectives one after the other. Have a go at one of his Jack Reacher novels.

I am sure there are great many advantages in writing in that manner for the action packed thrillers but I just can't write a thriller as well as I write on more serious subjects like this novel about a young RC priest whose sexual orientation he discovers against the acceptable norms of the church. How does he handle it without breaking his celibacy? However, I see the merits of precise writing. Thanks for your reply. -Arun
