Your poem has a great message that we all need to heed. I like the picture you chose of the bear, It made me feel sorry for the poor critter.I guess under those parameters, for one to expect it to be a total rhyming poem is unreasonable.

HELLO L.RAVEN: I like your poem here. It brings to my mind the lack of people's concern for our wildlife. Our God gave them to us for our benefit...not to miss treat. People like you should keep writing things that you have written here. Keep writing, L.Raven. God bless you and yours. Cordially: rhonnie69.

It is sad and true. I am conflicted when the news tells of a person that was attacked by an animal. More and more wildlife is put in a compromising position. Their instinct for survival is based on their ability to find food. Not to mention there are Eco systems gravely affected by the near or extinction of whole species.
Your poem is nicely situated, well written and articulated.
J

A very well-written Rictameter. The wild animals seem to be confused about where there habitat is, they often come to human neighborhoods to seek food because their natural habitat is destroyed and they are starving of hunger.

Excellent work in this format. The theme is sad and serious. When humans practice a human first philosophy, this is one of the results. We need to learn to coexist with ourselves and other species. Very poignant with powerful message. Hugh

Thank you for picking up on the idea we were discussing in a recent review, and reminding all of us that the roving animals are innocent and just hungry. Your choice of the Rictameter form with its rhymes and repeats is just right to emphasize the situation. Cheers and sighs- Joan

There are a few heroes out in today's world who care about wildlife as much as you do. Let's hope they are successful in their efforts to protect the creatures. Hugs- Joan

Linda, This is a very well written Rictameter you have penned about the wild animals that are treated unfairly. some are killed and others just abused. they are hungry I do believe also. God put them on the earth for a reason. Blessings, Teri

I may be losing it...I was actually angry when the locals made a big fuss over the bowhunter who killed a 515 lb. black bear near here. The woods are being developed here, too, engendering every form of dishonest BS....excellent rictameter

Hi LlJ, we can't keep taking their land...leaving them nothing to eat...and killing them...and calling it right...It's not right...these are living things...and they get hungry...thank you for a great review...Love Linda xxoo

I agree with all your poem expresses, Linda, though it's unclear to me who the starving, city-dwelling homeless narrator could be. (It certainly isn't the unfortunate bear in the illustration.)
These problems need solutions - and soon!
