Must agree with the poet. They kill out the hard wood for no reason just to raise the pone like crops. They care less about the wildlife who depend upon other things. Well said poet.

Hello Linda, a well written poem in rictameter form, on a very relevant subject. We are robbing these animals of their habitat and you have described this well. Ice caps are melting and polar bears are also starving. It is very sad and you have expressed this well in both poem and picture. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Hi there,

I believe line six falls off the syllable count and only has seven.

I agrre, trees cut down for no good purpose is deplorable. We encroach continually on nature for nothing.

All the best

This poem and image combination is a perfect match and brings out a lot of emotion. I am going to the Sequoias this month and I am sick and tired of the destruction of our forest and wildlife as well.

Maybe when people read your poem they'll think of it. I fully agree, not caring for wildlife - it will be wiped out one day. The only way we can stop it is to show children how to behave with Nature and creatures.
Why kill small bugs, moths or flies, when you see them in your house? There is always a way to let them live and bring it outside. Bees and wasps and butterflies
can very easily be caught and brought outside.
So even small creatures are not tramped down any longer and adults are a good example for children.
You see what your words were able to provoke. Thank you for sharing

Hi ruzu, if we don't stop taking their homes...their land...they can't survive...they have to eat...people don't understand...everything that lives has a reason to be here...you can't break that chain...sigh...thank you for a wonderful review...love Linda xxoo

Hi Linda.
A very thought provoking Rictameter poem.
It is too easy to remove all in the path of progress and leave future generations to suffer the consequences.
Sometimes man forgets how important all animals are to the safety and balance of
life on earth.
Blessings
Shirley

Hi Shirley, it's not just something you would forget...their importance...it's that their starving...nowhere to hunt...no food for them...were taking all the land they need to survive...and not caring...their babies are dying...it's inhuman...so sad...thank you my sweet friend for a wonderful review...and Blessings to you as well...love you...Linda xxoo

A new form for me so I appreciate the notes. I haven't seen this form as a promoted contest, but I think it would be a fun one to have. Our cities, pipelines, etc. do much damage to habitats of the poor animals, and to us too if truth be told. Nice rhyming. Great point.

Hi Meeshu, thank you for a wonderful review...if they had enough food...enough of their land back...no matter how populated they are....they would be eating on the land...the land that is getting less for wildlife every year...it's more than sad...sigh...love you...Linda xxoo

Reminds me of the picture of the bear our nurse took on the way to our house Monday morning of the bear crossing our road down the street to the entrance of our property. Progress does not care about wildlife it is a crying shame!
