Not sure why the third line is separated from the other 2 when the thought continues, but maybe I am missing something in the reading? Happy writes usually do the best in these contests but I do wish you well in the vote. The write and picture are cohesive with the man note even using the scope. Thank you for promoting your entry. A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the stars in the night sky that are still a very beautiful thing to me. The real image doesn't matter as much as the shining glittering affect it shines down to earth.

Growing up is tough. And it can be disappointing to realize that life is not all magical shooting stars. That life isn't always as beautiful as the stars and constellations in the sky. Your piece made me miss being a child of wonderment. A job well done!

The parameters of the contest are properly met with this one and the choice of photo is spectacularly right!
Having said that, as an amateur astronomer, I have to say that the sentiments couldn't be further from the truth. Growing up and learning the reality of just exactly what is "out there" in space is a thousand times more "wondrous" than anything I could have imagined as a child.
My own opinions have had no effect on your mark. You're entitled as am I. Well done.

Yes, but the stars aren't in the SKY, are they? They are light years distant in the void of space. I agree though, they are wondrous and beyond what I too thought as a child. Thanks for a thoughtful and insightful review. Appreciated. :))

Author I will call as being a child growing up we used to wish upon stars and back then there were many more stars in the sky than there are now. When we saw falling stars we REALLY believed that what we wished would come true. I don't take time to look up in the sky at night anymore. I think I'll take the time.

This is 'A Star in the Sky' Contest Entree Rich in Theme and Imagery It read Well and Flowed well with no grammar issues as well.
Adjective Content and Objective Content were both excellent and exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly.

Nicely done. Wonder of the stars is just one of the wonders that disappear with age. It's hard and sad to grow up. I find that I can still feel the wonder of the stars though, if I just let myself. Nevertheless you make a very valid point. Good luck in the contest.
