A very challenging writing prompt but one with a lot of interesting words. I hope I have a chance to enter! I love your take on this contest and I wish you the best in the contest.

This confused me. I don't like such whacky prompts . It's hard to follow . I didn't know chickens went to heaven as they have no soul.
I don't know what I'm reading really
God bless

Dear Alcreator, Crazy but good spiritual poem about chickens, and I liked the way you put the required words in red. Colorful poem too, and I liked the font of the words. Dove

This is a very creative poem with a lot if colorful imagery. However I'm not understanding the meaning of the poem, if there is a meaning to it. What is the significance of color in this piece? Was red mom symbolic of someone or something? It's an interesting work that captures the imagination, but is not easily understood, at least by me. Thanks for sharing this.

This one-hundred-fifty-seven-word poem, God Only Does So, presented in twenty-two lines, six hundred and ninety-seven characters, and using assigned words, tells a Mother Goose type story with one particular wish not unique to chickens-- to die a natural death. So --

Fence out the foxes and put down the ax
Let chickens lay eggs, live long lives, and relax

What a quirky and provoking tale. I like the way it weaves in and out like a subconscious thought as in a dream. It has some ethereal qualities that peak between the folds. Unique and delightful.

Hahaha, you certainly met the challenge head on.

I enjoyed the Red Mom chicken story a lot and I couldn't help laughing, which is good because they say laughing is the best medicine and God loves all creatures great and small.

Hi There, I would be lying if I claimed that I understood this poem apart from the very end where the chicken mom went to heaven wherever that is. An unusual poem indeed. Good luck. All the best. Ulla:))

A very well-written poem in your own style and excellent use of the prescribed words to use in your poem of 157 words. A great imaginative poem with a meaning which I see as follows: We are all coming from one source, we may have different color skins or talk different languages, some of us are bad, others are good, but we all call one creator.
