Probably true, lol, although my little boy bedtime piece got punked anyway lol. If I recall correctly the winning piece was really good though. Really love the pic you found. I like your more serious works even though they are rare these days, but this one was a great little old-school rant. I got a notice of the write and read it so thought I might as well review it while I was here. Didn't bother with counting all the characters though, lol. I tried to do a humor entry in the one liner contest (which is not a voting contest) but I think I over-complicated it. If you have time for an honest review (funny is your bag) go over and check it out. I'm sure I can use all the help I can get! It pays, lol. ; ) Best of luck on the votes if it's still open.

Thank you for the fantastic review, Christine. Yeah, I don't get it sometimes. I mostly enter the dumb silly stuff I write because it only takes me a couple minutes to write it. And, as you said, wins a whole lot more than anything I actually spent hours creating. My serious stuff rarely ever wins. And promoting it is almost a waste of money. Write about rainbows and butterflies and the reviews will come pouring in, but that's just not me. Sometimes when I'm real low on funds, I'll write something like that just to win a contest so I have more goofing around money, lol. I really appreciate the gracious stars, C. You are not wrong I spend a fortune on this site ( My husband would probably fall over if he knew how much and it annoys me that you often spend money to try and prompte only to stay on the same place and need two or three pumps to move up. I could never get to the top as I cant afford it so
I just pump until I get somewhere near page one.This site is terrific and ai have made some lovely friends and enjoy everyones support ( well most people if you know what I mean) The majority of writers are very nice, helpful and generous with their comments and rating but there a few I avoid. i like you often post something ai really like and think is worthy but receive only a few reviews. While others are written in a hurry and do well. Oh well we are still here and trying. Thank God I still work so I dont feel so bad spending my money on my 'hobby' . Oh, I never spend 'real' cash on here, no way. Like I said, write a couple lovey dovey happy pretty writes to win a contest or two, or at least place, then use that to enter more contests with the silliness I write. I rarely ever waste my fake money promoting. It's not worth it. If they like it, they'll review it. If they don't, that's less typing I have to do replying. Haha. I don't have a whole lot of time to spend on here with work and life so reviewing doesn't give me enough money to join contests. That's all I do on here, by the way, contests. So I have to stoop to the pretty stuff to win once in while, lol. I've been on this site like 12 years now, and posting just to post doesn't trip my trigger anymore. Fake reviews are about as fake as the funny money. I do enjoy competition though. But I know, enter something serious or down, I'm going to lose before it begins, but that's what I like to write. I have a wide spectrum of playing around in between. I do love the contests though. Have yourself a wonderful day, Christine.

I don't count the comma and dots as characters. Letters equal 71. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see what the committee says. Thanks for the 4.
