We are a culmination of what we do and say. However, if we say we are a dog, pig, superman or unrealistic objects then clearly we are not those things.
Many people name call us and we are supposed to accept that? No selective decisions about yourself are the way to go.

Our word is our bond? I once received a poison pen letter and it was signed and the person had a lot of problems in their life and I took none of it personally, but it was from a member of my family and this person was someone who could not be helped. It happened a very long time ago and I wish I could have mended the rift, but there is no hope now after such a long time. It was born out of jealousy I believe. To have such pent up feelings toward another is so very sad. Needless to say I did not reply. We should always be careful what we write, expecially if it is in print, it is there forever, wise words here, love Dolly x

By their fruits shall you know them. This fifteen word statement in effect is a poetic restatement of this quote from Matthew 7.16 KJV.
The point is that there is no other way to form an opinion of others as what they do is covered in your last line.

We are all judged by what comes out of our mouths, regardless of what anyone might try and tell us.
If you happen to be an eloquent speaker with a gift for gab, people are going to find you to be intelligent, pleasant and personable.
If nothing comes out of your pie hole besides profanity and curse words, you'll be judged as an ignorant cad.
That's just human nature.
