Even more intriguing...Estelle means star doesn't it...so we have elements of fantasy as well as a torturous past . Helen is a Greek name ...so she is descended from Alexander the Great...what a fabric you weave.
Well penned and intriguing
God bless

This story just gets deeper and deeper and better and better. I totally am into it. Your talent shows through with this post. Half a Greek Goddess and why not. I bought it.

I've heard that fairies and brownies and elves did once inhabit the land. Easy to believe it's true with Helen's lush descriptions. Even Charles seems inclined to suspend logic for awhile.

First out and external to the writing, thanks for the larger type. Much easier to read.

Ah yes, and our frayed nerves are now relaxed with a beautiful tale of a valley filled with music and fairies. That's good pacing, Tony.

It's starting to become a more intricate weave and I much enjoy this.

Thanks, Gloria. Glad you're still enjoying this, and thanks very much for the six stars. Not sure what happened to the font in the previous chapter, but have now increased its size. All the best, Tony

A very well-written chapter and continuous plot of the story. Sometimes nature have such beautiful spots in the woods, that it becomes difficult not to look for little fairies hiding somewhere.

Helen becomes more mysterious with each chapter. I suspect she may be a half-fairy. She certainly has mesmerized Charles, despite all his travelling experience. The description of the mountains and all that area was very strong. I could see it all before my eyes. Great chapter.

I apologize that I am out of six stars for this chapter. I want to make sure that you know how much I like it.
This chapter is probably my favorite. I like the folk lore and legends that you introduce. It makes for fascinating reading and really deepens the mystery, as I am sure was your intent.

Wow, Tony, it's so well written. I'm so happy to read this story. So Helen has taken him in and he is all but ensnared in her web. Oh, I know, I may be seriously wrong. Even I am enticed with her story and can see the tragedy of her tale. Can't wait to read more of this fascinating story. All the best. Ulla:))

That was lovely, Tony. I believe in fairies! My family have told stories of them for so long, I have to believe in them! :) lol. You told this chapter beautifully, I was quite taken up with the way Helen told her story. How could he fail to believe? I enjoyed this very much and I'm already out of sixes, so it's a virtual ****** :)) Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Thanks for your continued support, Sandra, and for your encouraging comments. I first discovered fairies at the bottom of the garden when I was about four - much to the mirth of the rest of the family. They were actually a couple of nuns walking down the footpath. I appreciate the virtual six! Best wishes, Tony

I enjoyed your chapter very much, Tony. It was great to hear about Helen's past and her culture. You did a great job with the description of the Hindu-Kush, the valley, the mountains, and the passing of the night unto morning. Thanks for sharing. Jan
