Never get shirts with BS on them or without a pocket. Now my drawer of ball caps might give some hints of what I use to be...or at least the parts and tools I used--never bought a cap, either...excellent story...

Hi Earl,

Nice piece. To be fair though, I think a lot of guys - redneck or not - suffer from the syndrome of the predictable wardrobe. lol

Judging from the criteria here, I think a heck of a lot of folk are rednecks and don't know it!

redneck than professional wrestling?" She asked, and then said, "It counts." - she.

"Ok," - should probably be a full stop / period rather than a comma before the closing speech marks.

watch college football It would figure the next category - it.

You went the year before and didn't get a shirt," she said, "Are you trying to say you haven't been? - technically the second piece of dialogue should start lower case as the previous isn't closed off. Either that or close the previous off after the speech tag. You also need closing speech marks at the end.

"Are you ready to admit defeat?" I asked - need end punctuation here.

Ni9ce vein of humour coursing through this one too. Very enjoyable.

Thanks Giraffeman. I appreciate the pointers on the punctuation, but the essay is breing judged and I don't think I can make any corrections until the judging is over. I don't have any nominations left so consider yourself virtually nominated. You might want to check out my book of lists, feel free to add some of your own.

I love it Earl Corp...we women know our way around a dresser! And you know we have a memory that never quits, Anna certainly proved that, as I'm sure you're reminded every time she wears those diamond earrings ;o))
Great story and writing!
Good luck in the contest.

First love the picture. I just love the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. I saw that stand up. I guess our spouses know us more than we think they do. I had to laugh at the end, and I am sure she points them out to you every time she wears them. I like this piece very much. It flows well and I can just picture the pile of T-shirts. I know this is true, but sometimes the truth is funnier then fiction. We have to laugh at ourselves.

I thought this was a humorous tale told with much personality. its a great idea; to reveal personality through old t-shirts, and it's amazing what we can tell from all those old shirts we bought as souvenirs over the years. All your interests bleed through, and I think you had some great colloquialisms in the language that captured the personality in the emotion as well. a great little piece estory

Great contest! Congrats Anna! Well done. I started a pile many years ago for each of my kids to make a quilt out of the many t-shirts they have purchased over the years. They certainly have a story to tell.

Sorry no six for you. Surely, a Nobel Peace Prize Nomination for you or Anna. I not sure. LOL funny and so believable! The clothes make the person or is that--defines the person? Sounds like you cleared up some things for your many fans.

I enjoyed this so much! It felt so good to laugh with you both.
All my best,
Sal

I do believe that this happened. The idea of the T-shirt drawer as a resume is super interesting, and you do a great job of turning it into an interesting story. The only recommendation I can give you is that you could go on a little more about the memories, but that's only if you wanna make this longer. Awesome story!
