You make such strong alliterations here. I must admit my favorite thoughts clicks on my tongue come from them and makes me appreciate and focus more on the body of the work. You're themes I noticed seldom venture from a spiritual void fall into or mountain climbed. Truth is in the person of J and I've never doubted it when humbled to it. I appreciate how you put me in the mind of the curious and countless doubts we face.

Honest, deep, complex and profound. Beautifully composed, with lots of effective alliteration. If you search for truth with a sincere heart, you will find Him. A living Lord, as distinct from formal religion, which seems to me to have moved off on a tangent, and is now well away from the One they profess to follow, and as you have often stated, religion is the cause of much hypocrisy, bloodshed and death, which brings shame and disgrace to the One they profess to follow.

Another hot deep to the fence.
This line represents mankind:
I yearn to learn and then decide.
The later you ask if we can learn from our mistakes. A dog can. Yet we are still plagued by the deadly sins.
Your last line is perfect by the way.

Everyone must dig deep inside themselves to discover what they truly believe and what they do not consider the truth. I believe God is love and forgiveness and that he has always been at my side in the darkest hours.

I like the honesty and humility of this verse. It's what a questioning mind should be all about rather than just adopt someone else's belief just because it's convenient. The problem as you so rightly express in your last but one verse, man keeps repeating the same old mistakes and one has to wonder if any faith can truly teach us the lesson we yearn to know. Thanks for sharing Debbie

Religion hasn't been easy for me either. After much consideration, I came with my own relationship with God
I believe most religions have a common factor.... God is love.
Well done

This is a tightly woven poem with rhymes that work well in describing your quest for a faith you can believe in with your mind body and soul. I too search for meaning in the seemingly meaningless world. I know that the truth is hard to find and make sense of and it is fleeting and far away from reality as we know it. Keep searching oh man of little faith and you will find it where you least expect it to be in your own heart filled with joy.

Wow it seems you have much thought to what is and was and will
Be forever ours until we either pass through the veil or are entombed forever unlike the Christ who arose and traverse the space between mortality and immortality

Your poem asks a lot of good questions. I too, wonder about God, have so many questions of my own that can only be answered by dying. I don't know what to believe either. A great thought provoking poem.

I believe at some point or many points in our lives we all question God. I know I have. Each time I come back with the same result. God is real and wants to be part of each of our lives. He's always been there for me. Thank you for reposting this.
