Didn't spot any errors. I got caught up in the story. I get emotionally involved when I read stories about women and children being abused by bullying husbands. I'd like to be projected back there with an ax handle and a hammer. There would be blood. Well done, Sandra. I'm still breathing hard.

An excellent continuation of the story. So the head injury is what enabled her to go time travelling? Things haven't changed all that much from the good old days, men still beat their wives, but at least women can legally press charges now.

You once again excelled in this chapter.

The team of Veronica and Mildred remain my favourite characters in your time travelling work.

By the way, I wanted to give you a review on the previous book, but Amazon keeps saying I'm not allowed for some reason. I've written to Amazon to ask why and I'll let you know what they say. This is the second time (and book) Amazon has refused me reviewing!

Somebody else told me that! That's just not fair. I've heard Amazon can take reviews off for any reason they want. Thank you for trying, and I would love to know what they say to you.

Thank you for your lovely review, as well, my friend. I've been so surprised at how much Veronica and Mildred have been taken to the readers hearts. Love it too!! Big hugs! Sandra :)) xxx

I love Veronica and Mildred who are indeed favoured by these very mysterious watchers, and send Verinica off to help strategic people in the past. I still feel the anger and the indignation of these bullies, even from the past. And even though they're fictional. You write a good episodic work, with good characters, plot and perception. Well done Sandra, blessings, Roy

Mary is to Gladys what Mildred was to Mrs Humphries. --I was thinking the same thing before I read this line. Great writing! :)

I so enjoy reading your stories. They are so imaginative and creative. I LOVE time travel. Always have. I find it fascinating. I look forward to seeing what is to come of this adventure. Well done, my friend. :-)

What is it with cars these days!!! That was really quick getting you back on the road again, my goodness! Oh, yes, you are animal sitting, aren't you? Have fun, lol. Then you go back to your brother's house, don't you, and see your mother again. That's really nice. I would love to go and visit my mum again. Make the most of your time with yours, my friend. I know you will.

Thank you so much for the wonderful 6 stars, Linda, and your fun review. I'm with you on that!! Lots to come! Biggest hugs, sweet friend. Love you lots, too! :)) Sandra xxxx

At least you (and me) will know you will be safe on the roads. Time doesn't count when it comes to your safety, my dear friend. Ok, now here's the thing, I've just started another book and the first part has been posted today. It's a book for my grandson, Eric. Will you take a look and tell me what you think? Love you lots, my dear friend. :)) xxxx

It was certainly awful in those days for abused women. It still goes on, but I think they have more recourse now.

It must be frustrating for Veronica and Mildred to be so powerless right now, but I know, in time, they'll come up with a solution. I hope Tommy doesn't do anything rash.

Your stories have a way of drawing me as though I were there, the kind of stories I think about from reading to reading.

I enjoyed your chapter, Sandra. Although it is about a difficult subject, abuse of the powerful for the most part, you did a good job. For some reason, I thought Tommy was older. Your characterization of Father was very detailed. He is an awful controlling man. Since Mildred and Gladys are on their way home, does that mean the end, or will they return as promised? Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thank you so much, Jan, for reading my story and the lovely review. No, it's nowhere near the end. Veronica is sent back to her own time when the powers that be think she needs to do some research, and so she isn't away from her children for long. They don't even know she's gone, as the powers make sure she is back at the same instant she left. Gladys and her family are the pivotal point in the story, it's what else unravels that Veronica is there to sort out. This is Mildred's first taste of time-traveling, but Veronica has been 'travelling for a long time now. More will be revealed in the next chapter. I hope that clears the muddy water a bit! lol. Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hello
I found this chapter where Veronica and Mildred are taken back in time to 1905 and they meet Gladys and her family very disturbing of how
Admiral Pembrock - Gladys's husband is to me
has no remorse while beating.
I wonder what makes Pembrock get out of control when he loose his temper.

Thank you so much for the 6 stars, Gert. On researching that period before the ladies got the vote (after WW1 ended in the UK) the husbands did not like their wives joining the movement. Hitting wives and children was the norm, the law allowed husbands to beat their wives with rods the thickness of a man's thumb, or his hand to keep women under control. That law didn't change until the mid 1970s, which shook me. The story will go away from the suffragettes soon. I won't say anymore for now :)) Thank you so much, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, wow, this was a fantastic chapter and it was over before I knew it. Poor Gladys and Tommy, and I'm glad they have Mildred in Mary. But I'm afraid that the abuse as this still go on in today's world. Some men can't see beyond their own power. I hope Veronica and Mildred will come back to see Gladys. Wonderful writing as always. Hugs from a wet but warm Spain. We needed the water, so it's a relief. Ulla xxx

Thank you so much, Ulla for those wonderful 6 stars!!!! You are so kind. I don't really think that era for abuse is any worse than what goes on today behind closed doors, it's just the wives are too scared to do anything about it, and those that do, live in fear that their husband will find them. What a horrid world it is for some. Thank you, dear friend, for this lovely review. :)) Sandra xxx
