WHAAAT You're leaving us there? This is very current also. Very interesting character background. I wonder if he'll meet any elves, men who look like white ghosts carrying rope, anyone hiding behind the bushes. The cast potential is endless. I hope I can catch the next installment. I like your alliteration and related homonyms. You write with the same mischievous aim I do. I love play on words and I can see you do also. Also even if we aren't male I think the reader could quite possibly experience visceral pain. Oweee.

This chapter is very well written. Even though I have not read the previous chapters I didn't feel lost in the plot. The explanation in the first paragraph caused me to feel empathy toward Tom Bends. I can picture the setting, and feel the pain and fear. It left me wanting to find out what happens next.
